Publisher's summary

Dr. Tony Evans, one of the most respected church leaders in the country, is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, a thriving congregation of 8000. In this timely, unique exploration of spiritual warfare, Dr. Evans unveils a simple yet radical truth: every struggle and conflict faced in the physical realm has its root in the spiritual realm.

With passion and clarity, Dr. Evans demystifies spiritual warfare so that listeners can tackle challenges and obstacles with spiritual power - God's authority - as they:

  • understand how the battle is fought by Satan
  • actively use the armor of God
  • find strength in prayer and sufficiency in Christ
  • win over chemical, sexual, emotional, relational, and other strongholds

Dr. Evans is compelling, down to earth, and excited for believers to experience their victory in Christ and embrace the life, hope, and purpose God has for them.

Where is Dr. Evans

The content of the book is outstanding. However, it was extremely hard adjusting to someone else delivering Dr. Evan's message. You can clearly hear Dr. Evan's voice in the writing tone and style which made it really weird hearing someone else's voice. In the future I would much rather Dr. Evans narrate his own books.

Exam very good book, but stremely difficult to lis

Tony's content, insight and wisdom are very applicable. The narrator was very difficult to listen to as they were overly dramatic and it was obvious that they were reading the words but struggled to effectively deliver the content.

Narrator exaggerated tone interfered with content

I could not focus on the content of this book because of the narrator's overly dramatic reading. I regularly listen to Tony Evan's messages and downloaded the sermons this book is based on that are in Evans' own voice.

Tony Evans is incredible. Narrator- not so much.

Pastor Tony Evans is a fantastically anointed communicator of God's word and I would read anything he has written, and listen to anything he preaches. The concept of spiritual warfare is one of the most incredibly powerful things every Christian should know about and they must understand how to use their God given power to fight these battles. Unfortunately, the narrator's delivery is overly theatrical and was such a distraction from the content of this book I had to quit listening to it. I felt like it almost made light of the information. I own this book in paperback and I will just read it instead. I hope Pastor Evans considers narrating this himself in the future.

Tony Evans never disappoints

but i really wish he'd narrated this. Mr. Willis has a wonderful voice and I know he narrates many of Dr. Evans' books. But I listen to Dr. Evans almost daily and would love to hear his words in his voice.

Good Book.

The you must tithe bit at end spoiled it. The temple curtain was torn from top to bottom. We are all a Royal Priesthood now. Abraham gave a tithe to Melchizadek from spoils of war. Not his crops. Giving to ministers as they tread out the grain is biblical and NT teaching. Tithing is not.
