As a Christian from my youth to my mid twenties, I gave my all as a Christian, a devoted true believer. And the thing that broke my faith, was the people who claim to be Christian. The scripture said, a Christian would recognize anyone who had the 'holy spirit'. And I didn't see it in anyone, in fact, I realized over time that christians refused to discuss the parts of the Bible that shame their persecution of non Christians and even people claimed to be sinners. 'Who are you to tell another master's servant what to do?' and 'no man who commits a murder has Eternity left in his soul.' and 'let us not talk a out who will or will not go to heaven'. and all refused. I eventually found that I was the only true Christian, and that meant that there was no Christianity, and by deduction, and the immense inconsistency of the Bible, including the denial of the books once part of the scriptures by the Christians, their rediculous superstitions and deviance from lawful moral ideals, I concluded that Christianity was just a religeon and that the Christian god was 12 individual beings in a single religeon and that there is nothing about it that is unique. There are too many people who refuse to understand the book and add meaning to it with immoral lenses. the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, if read properly, is about consent, not sexual preference as a point of immorality. only the new testament mentions homosexuality as a sin, the 10 commandments don't even mention it. so I left christianity, not as an atheist, but as a very aware and disappointed human being, who was taken advantage of by a religeon.
