Publisher's Summary

James Herriot, strapped into the cockpit of a Tiger Moth trainer, feels rather out of place, but he hasn't found a new profession and it surely won't be long before the RAF come round to his point of view.

James Herriot's sixth volume of unforgettable memoirs sees him dreaming of the day when he can rejoin his wife Helen, little son Jimmy, veterinary partner Siegfried, the eternal student Tristan - and all the old Darrowby crows, both two-legged and four.

Abbreviated...

I love Herriot, but abbreviations really take something out of the experience :( I would love to hear all of Herriot's books unabridged. There's something about his way of telling a story. And Christopher Timothy was just phenomenal, again.

Short

Great story and narration but you don't get much for your money far too short

I'm in Nostalgia Heaven

These wonderful books remain as brilliant as ever. Beautifully read by Christopher TImothy. Just wish they were longer.
