I am not satisfied!

What disappointed you about Verbal Command?

Not sure why the price of the book is so high because this is like a marketing campaign! The audio quality and the contents both are below par.

What do you think your next listen will be?

May be I am going to try another vocabulary book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrator?

Not sure.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I don't think so. They were just reading some words from some dictionary and then doing marketing campaign for some public speakers.

Any additional comments?

N/A.

Vocabulary in pdf not in same order as audio

What did you like best about Verbal Command? What did you like least?

Like Most: The voice of the reader is very professional. I like it to have a quiz version.

Like Least: I can't believe the vocabulary in accompanying pdf file is not in the same order as the audio. For the first time, I'll need to view the words that I don't know. The words in the pdf is grouped in categories and alphabetical order, which is different from audio. That's really NOT helpful!

If you’ve listened to books by the authors before, how does this one compare?

Not applicable.

Which scene was your favorite?

Not applicable.

Could you see Verbal Command being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Somebody who speaks clearly, with standard American English accent, nice and not too fast.

Disappointed

I was optimistic about this book, but wound up feeling like someone decided to throw some average content together to try and sell a lot of books. Even a few of the speakers were, ironically, weak and uninteresting. Since the topics were stage presence, good communication, etc , and they weren't audiobook narrators, but actual recorded presentations, this was a shock. I figured at the very least I would get to hear some great speakers and could pick up some things from how they presented, but I wound up speeding up the reading speed to get through them more quickly.

The content was mediocre at best, nothing I hadn't heard before, and some that was pure common sense. If you are brand new to public speaking, you might find some value here, but I think there are a lot of good books on public speaking that I'd check out before investing the time and money on this one.

I very seldom return books, maybe one every few years, but I'll probably return this one. I can't get the time back that I invested in listening to it, but I'd prefer they not get compensated for this collection of mostly sub-par content.
