Violet & Cain

What a start to this series! Jane Henry had me captivated from the first chapter and I could not stop listening. Violet is on a mission. She wants to find the people who killed her parents, and she knows the only way is to the help of Cain Master. His skills and colleagues in his company are the help she needs. But Cain has his own problem, and with the specific skillset Violet has, he knows he needs her! Working together seems to be the answer. This dangerous duo is fantastic. Their chemistry is off the charts, the danger is exciting and the suspense constantly building. The search for Cain's sister and the circumstances make the mystery. There are secrets though, and not even Jane Henry is leaking them in this first installment! I can't wait to hear more of this couple in book 2!

To make this book even better is narration by Aaron Shedlock and Kai Kennicott. Shedlock comes in as the alpha, dangerous Cain. His voice has the element of danger, and sensuality of attraction. Kennicott is Violet and brings her edginess out perfectly. I loved them together and look forward to more!

A delectable, slow burning, pressure cooker

I thought this book was simply awesome. Sizzling chemistry, nerve-wracking tension, drama, spine tingling suspense, intense emotions, secrets, twists, gritty danger, heat, and a bit of kink made a complex and delectable combination that I simply could not resist. Violet and Cain's story starts out at a slow burn but from the start you can feel the pressure building and the desire simmering along as it heads towards the boiling point. This is only book one of a duet. So yes, there is a cliffhanger. So due try to prepare for that and the desperate craving you'll have to get your hands on book two ASAP!! This book offers dual narration and honestly, that is something I really like. I feel it makes it easier to connect with the characters and to become immersed in the book. I thought both narrators gave wonderful performances and I felt their voices fit the characters well.

loved the storyline & the narration! JH strikes again! Not as dirty as some of her other books but still awesome! I want to hear more about their story together

I loved this one

I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book. I hope in the next book it will address some of the things in the beginning that weren't addressed. Overall the story is great. I can't believe how fast it went by either.

I love Jane Henreys ruthless doms and wicked doms but this duet did not do it for me. I would like to know how it ends but wont waste another credit.

I usually like Jane Henry. This book was very surface, no connection to or between the characters. Wasted credit.
