Misleading Title - Vegetarian, not Vegan

What did you love best about Vegan Keto?

This is a good overview of the ketogenic diet principles. They are explained thoroughly but not in a confusing way.

Would you be willing to try another book from Siim Land? Why or why not?

The book is good, but it is not what the title announced. Too many of the recipes involve butter, cheese or eggs.

What didn’t you like about Siim Land’s performance?

The author/narrator has a lovely accent and voice, and reads clearly, if a bit stiffly in the intonation. This does not distract from the important content of this work.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's a diet book, so no page-turning suspense. It's well-written enough to listen to in one sitting if you're interested.

Pleasantly surprised.

I struggled in the begining with the narrator's voice but I actually got used it, especially since it's a short book. It did contain useful information for Vegans which surprised me due to the author not being a Vegan. The best part for me were the recipe ideas. There were quite a few I had never thought of being I'm new to Vegan Keto. The recipe ingredients also gave me other ideas of how to use these whole foods in different ways.

Basically a book about how maybe it could work

The narrator's voice is so hard to listen to. But what is frustrating is you get to the end and hear 'this diet is not sustainable'. So it's not a vegan keto diet. It's an attempt at putting something together for money

Annoying voice

This might be a good audio book, but the guys voice is annoying and he's not a vegan..

Succinct Information

I needed a shortish summary of going the vegan keto route and this book provided that. The information was mostly to the point, and backed up by relevant research and statistics. The lists in chapters 8 onwards (as well as the handful of recipes) are very useful. I also particularly enjoyed the chapter on fasting.

The narration was not good. My advice to the author is to invest in re-recording this book in a proper studio with a voice artist - your book would be taken more seriously (and would get better reviews) if you made this investment.

As a small aside - the “come over to the dark side” lure towards the end of the book left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sure there’s another way to make vegans/vegetarians aware of your other books.

Great overview of keto, fasting, nutrition and veganism

I would be hard-pressed to find a source that provides an overview - and discusses the intersection- of nutritional ketosis, fasting, intermittent fasting, various “superfood” supplements, and the health cautions of a purely vegan diet.

There is some hatorade in the other comments for the author/narrator’s performance, but I found it fine, got used to it after a few minutes. He’s no James earl jones, but he gets the job done.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a survey/overview of all of these topics.
