Love this world!

I have now listened to all of Emma Dean's books set in her shifter territories of the world. I have liked all of them! This is a short and simple RH but has a great story. The main character Piper is funny and VERY strong willed, not the push over that others are. Steamy wise its okay. A lot of build up for a few sexual interactions that were enjoyable! Biggest downside...the length. I hate spending a credit for a book so short.

Stand alone and finish

I really enjoyed this one. Also it is a stand alone book so no cliffhanger. It has some spicy but not too much.

What an interesting story involving a circus and paranormal world?

We make the characters of Kitty, Calvin, Adam, Damien, and Nora! What a lovely storyline involving the circus and the paranormal World. Loved it, but I hope it was more information about the prize and their babies. Thank you.

Couldn't stop listening!!

I loved this storyline. The imagery was wonderful. The only plot issue I had was the trial...it's like it goes away for a while, then all of the sudden gets brought back up. I got a little confused for a second. The other reason I couldn't rate it higher was because the "narration" kinda bugged me. I didn't like the way she made the male character voices sound. It's probably a personal preference.
But, overall, it was a great storyline. Just spicy enough to make you blush sometimes, but not overly explicit. I definitely would recommend!!

Love the Cirque !!

This was an interesting world within our world. The Cirque was not heavily described or a great center of focus. But was detailed just enough that my imagination picked up the threads and started building tents, seeing people preparing meals, watching cubs and performers practicing. It was all very realistic nothing extremely farfetched. Kitty's circumstances and how she came to the cirque were also very believable and her personality was fun and flirty and strong, and she remained fairly consistent throughout the novel. It was a sexy story but not trashy, nor was is overpacked with sex scenes. The relationship built nicely (slow'ish burn). There wasn't much Lion action as the story is from Kitty's perspective so there is one down fall. I also would have liked more information on how the pride worked. It seemed like there were a variety of shifters and other paranormal’ s but the cirque and the Pride were run by Lions. It was interesting enough and written well, I would have gladly sat through several more chapters to have a bit more information and detail. The ending though is why it didn't get 5 stars. I am really hard on endings so to others this ending may have been satisfactory. It sounds bad but I liked the villain-the trouble and how it lingered over Kitty but didn’t take over the Cirque or her budding relationships. I was interested to see how her guys were gonna “Handle” it. They even had a lawyer for Kitty! But the court proceedings went fast, weren't explained well and I was not happy with the outcome. Or with what came after. The threat ... ? The release ... ? Come on !! LOL !! I loath a quick and untidy wrap up. The last three chapters had me rolling my eyes and mad because I liked this story a lot until this point.

This is such a great story! It has ties to other stories but it truly is a stand alone. I wish there was more tbh!

Surprising Delight

It’s hard to find well-written, well-performed polyamorous audio romance. This piece was a joy to listen to; fun characters with clever dialogue, whimsical setting, and a refreshing amount of communication, negotiation, and consent that is frequently overlooked in this genre. Solid A. 🙂

I chose this story because of it's interesting, not your average Vaudeville type surroundings. While the environment that this story takes place is different and not your everyday average story line and has little to do with Vaudeville IMO.

It was cute, but again, IMO, not worth a credit.
