At his death in 1988, Robert A. Heinlein left a legacy of novels and short stories that almost single-handedly defined modern science fiction. But one of Heinlein's masterpieces was never finished. Then he set it aside to focus on other novellas.

The detailed outline and notes he created for this project lay forgotten for decades, only to be rediscovered almost a half century later. Best book ever

Spider Robinson rules! This book is for anyone who enjoys a good plot, and appreciates science fiction humor.

A visit from old, but beautiful and wise, friends

I started reading this when originally released, but went thru a traumatic event and put it down before I could finish it. Then after everything had settled, I thought I had finished it. What a delight to get half way thru and realize this was new content authored by two old friends from different generations. Thank you for the story! You can see the seed of several RAH stories in this one, but it is like going home again.

Classic Heinlein

I was skeptical about listening to Spider Robinson as a narrator since quite honestly, I haven't enjoyed his writing. However, this is authentically juvenile Heinlein. So Mr. Robinson did a good job in channeling RAH. If you enjoyed RAH's juvenile books, you will enjoy this one. Don't expect Stranger in a Strange Land or his later works and you won't be disappointed.

Note to Mr Robinson, don't EVER sing again when you're reading a book.

A fun book by Spider Robinson

First, realize this is a Spider Robinson book based off 12 pages of notes left by Robert Heinlein. He wrote it as Spider Robinson would, not some caricature of Robert Heinlein. That said, it's a fun adventure.

The narrator was good, and the story worked along well. It's not an earth shattering, point of view changing sci fi book, but not all can be. The universe he sets up seems interesting, and I wouldn't mind a follow up book.
