Publisher's Summary

A vampire's oath, a maiden's quest...And the blackest of magic that could consume them both...

Daniel, vampire and ally of the Warriors of Poseidon, has fought on the side of humanity---even against his fellow creatures of the night---for more than 11,000 years. But the crushing weight of futility and the reality of always being starkly, utterly alone has forced him to finally give into despair. He took the first step into the sunlight that would destroy him---and instead walked into Atlantis. Eleven thousand years ago, Serai was one of a group who agreed to be placed into magical stasis to ensure the future of the Atlantean race. When a dark sorceress steals the gemstone that protects her sleeping sisters, she awakens to a vastly changed world---and the one man she could never, ever forget. And with an ancient evil tracking their every step, the long-lost lovers must battle both the darkest of magic and the treacheries of their own hearts.

Spend some more time with the Warriors of Poseidon.

7th in the Warriors of Poseidon Books

This is the 7th installment in the Warriors of Poseidon series, and it's probably my favorite one yet. However, this is a series, and we are well into that series by this point. There's an ongoing story, and in the previous six books the hero of this story appears many times, and his character is developed along the way. For that reason, to get the full benefit of this book, it's important that you begin with Atlantis Rising and work your way through the series before tackling this book.

There's a search for gems going on, a different gem for each book (excepting one). In the process of searching, love is found. There's a different relationship highlighted in each book, and old characters from previous books in the series are present in the ongoing backstory of this book. Each books ends with the completion of the love story and the search for that books gem.

I've had problems with some of the Atlantean male's characer voices in the past books, but I didn't have as much trouble with that in this book, since the main male character is not an Atlantean.

# 7 is a WINNER!!!

I actually had bought this book first and after listening realised I need to listen to them in order. So I bought the previous books 1-6 and started at the beginning of the series. I relistened to this book when I got to it and enjoyed the main male charactor even more the second time around. I absolutly enjoyed the strength of the female charactor. Loved her backbone and determination.

It was truly an enjoyable listen. One of my favorites so far.

Pretty Good Story

I have read all the Atlantis stories so far and I like them all but they are annoying. This one bc the "madien" woke up angry with the new generation as if they put her to sleep. Completely stubborn and refusing help was dumb. However, all these stories talk about how powerful they are but then they end up getting their butts kicked and get lucky in the end. Overall good stories but prepare to be annoyed.

Good telling of one of the stories of the Atlanians or their friends.

The characters and world building are fully drawn. Author uses humour and horror to get her point across. Both are equally effective. Hard not to like characters.

Good Vampires, YES!

This was a very good book and I am happy for both Serai & Daniel.....11 thousand years is a long time to wait for your one true love to wake up.
