Publisher's summary

Napa Valley land heiress, Lola Langthorne, finally meets her match (and then some) when French billionaire Alexander de Sauveterre moves in next door.

The high-rolling businessman and international playboy needs one last piece of land to complete his California wine estate - a “bit” of the legendary Langthorne vineyard adjacent to his new acquisition. Lola Langthorne’s “bit” to be exact, and he’ll stop at nothing to possess this little slice of viticultural heaven.

The Langthorne family saga continues with Tobias and Lina’s wild and rebellious daughter. Strong-willed and stunning as her father, with a colorful vocabulary to match, the grapegrowing “Cabernet Queen” fights the dashing jetsetter tooth and nail to protect her cherished birthright. She’ll make this carpetbagger in crisp linen pay dearly for admiring her “bit” of land instead of her female “bits”. She’s Lola Langthorne after all, an outrageous beauty in her own right, if a little rough and dusty around the edges. The foul-mouthed spitfire sets out to best her silver-tongued adversary, but is undeniably attracted to the elusive Alex, a charismatic and compelling figure who is much more than he seems.

Now the ornery lady farmer and confirmed bachelorette finds herself falling for the very same man who plans to take everything from her.....

Valley Fire by Tessa Bowen

Valley Fire by Tessa Bowen is an enemies to lovers romance. The love story was so full of wit. I love that they are so different and still managed to fall in love and find something amazing to admire about each other. ❤ This story also made me laugh so hard! Omg I laughed my ass off!
Definitely swoon worthy, you'll die of laughter I promise. The only thing I didn't like about the story was that Lola cursed in almost every word.
A four star read because of the cursing but the narration by Logan McAllister is totally a 5 star.. He totally rock it even with the female voices.. Jhommie definitely enjoyed Lola and Alex's story.

Jhommie recommend the book to anyone who wants a good enemies to lovers romance! 😉😍❤

OK story, good narration

I love enemies to lovers stories and was excited to listen to the Valley Fire. I liked how this story started and the characters early interactions were entertaining. Both Lola and Alexander were interesting characters and the story idea was promising, however, I was a bit disappointed in how the story progressed in the second part of the book. The sexy times were hot and steamy, and I wanted to see more chemistry between these two strong willed characters outside of the bedroom. Narrator has a very pleasant voice and did a good job telling this story. This was my first book by this author/narrator team and I will try another book by them.

My trope loving heart

This author is hitting ALL of my favorite tropes!! I loved watching/listening to these enemies fall for each other. I especially appreciate that BOTH characters were strong-willed, and I love a heroine who isn't "perfect." Oooh her foul mouthed self was a nice change!

Good enemies to lovers & narration.

I love a good enemies to lovers romance and Valley Fever was really fun! One of my favorite things about the trope is the inevitable clash between the two MCs and the sparks that fly between them. Lola and Alex. They’re two people with strong personalities and stronger sense of entitlement. They bump heads at every turn and yet their chemistry is undeniable. It was fun watching them grow individually and together. I will say that although I don’t mind cursing in the slightest I found it a bit excessive when it came to Lola. It felt as if every other word of her mouth was a curse word. It was a bit of overkill, but didn’t really turn me off enough to quit listening. All in all a good listen.

Narration by Logan McAllister was great! His voice is smooth and did wonderful work of portraying both the male and female characters. Also, the his voice is just plain yummy. Made for an added bonus to listening. 4 Stars.

The Langthorne Legacy

I love that Lola and Alex's story is entirely different than her parent's. Lola as a character has some very great qualities but is simultaneously immature and obnoxious. There was a lot of fantastic character growth and the entire story was very well written. Enemies to lovers and new adult romance are some of my favorite tropes and this story has a very blended combination of the two and then some.

I like that this was the same narrator from Valley Fever. I thought he gave just as good of a performance in this book. I think he was able to really demonstrate Lola's change as a character throughout, while uniquely providing us with a parallel between Lola and her father, Tobias. Great narration!

I received a review copy at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

These Two are on Fire

Where to begin... Lola is such a spoiled little Daddy’s girl with a smart mouth and I love her! Speaking of spoiled, Xander Mr. High and Mighty all together and not afraid to speak his mind is on my love list also. These two have no business even being in the same room together. Now the thought of these people ever getting along seems highly unlikely, but eventually and after a lot f bombs there seems to be a romance kindling. I absolutely love this and the narration couldn’t be anymore on point... can’t wait for book 3 💕

Enemies to Lovers

After reading Valley Fever (book 1) I was very excited to see that this book focuses on Tobias and Lina's daughter, Lola. All grown up with her father's wit and good looks, Lola is a strong willed young woman who knows what she wants. But has she meet her match in playboy, billionaire Alexander de Sauveterre?
Alexander has come to Napa Valley with the intention of securing the Langthorne vineyard but Lola isn't going to be an easy sell. But what happens when these two start to develop feelings for each other?
I really enjoy how Tessa Bowen writes characters that go from enemies to lovers, watching the chemistry grow between these two throughout the book was wonderful.

Good Listen

Lola is a self centered foul mouthed spoiled rich girl who refuses to grow up because her father cleans up her messes. Alexander is a spoiled self centered cultured rich man. Together these two is only about themselves. This book takes you on a rollercoaster ride through their crazy relationship. This book is full of cursing and the craziness of these two who wants it all and don't want to consider what others are feeling. Great Narration.
