Publisher's summary

Jack Penny lived and breathed baseball until a knee injury benched him. While under the care of the beautiful Dr. Liza Charles, he often wondered what she was like outside of the office. He had made up his mind to ask her out until she made a suggestion that caused him to show a side of himself that he will forever regret.

Dr. Liza Charles never had a patient react as badly to a diagnosis as Jack Penny had. He was one of the nicer athletes, so she thought. But his outburst left her frightened. When he requested another doctor, she was more than happy to oblige.

Great listen

I liked the story and he characters. The narrator was a bit choppy and concentrated on the words more than the emotion or way in which the characters would speak them- especially certain phrases. I prefer HEA books so this one did not disappoint. BWWM storylines are a fav and this one is worth a listen

The worst narrator EVER!

The book could be a good read but the narration at times sounded automated. Very disappointed

performance could have been better

I enjoyed the story but the performance by the narrator was awful. I wish the narrator would have been someone else

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. It had great sexual storylines and a great storyline. I can't wait to read more books from this author.

Another narration to ruin a listen

The story line is good. I like this biracial couple and how they respond to the naysayers. It’s a good story but the narration is terrible! It was painful to listen to the word-for-word reading and horrible accents. This is a book to read not listen to.

Whiney, cheesy and unbelievable

First, the story. The storyline falls seriously short. Not even half way though, I just can't get into it. it's almost like it's a 5th grade writer.

Then add in the narrator. yikes. very whiney.

Over all, not sure if it's more about poor writing or poor narrating, but can't finish this.
