A nice step into a world

The beginning is a wow. The interpersonal conflicts are a little on the manufactured side and have difficulty integrating with the world they inhabit. The monsters have points of view that I like but the motivation and history need work. Origins are important when creating a new monster world.

I am usually not for writing reviews. But after listening to this and seeing the bad 1 star review, I thought I should. If your thinking about getting Up From The Deep, listen to the sample and decide for yourself. I personally thought the narration was great. I get some narration is not for everyone but at least listen to more that the 1st chapter lol.

This was my first Monster audiobook so I didn't really know what to expect. I will reiterate what one of the book reviews on Amazon says. Its a great book to get you out of a reading slump. Its different and its written like a B action movie. A bit unbelievable, but tons of fun. Again, the narrator was fine to me. But listen for yourself before buying.

Awesome

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

Terrible narrator

Couldn’t get through the first chapter, terrible narrator. Over affected pronunciation, yet mono tone. Probably could have been an interesting read and a great audiobook if the narrator would’ve found a way to bring it to life. Returned.
But who allows these narration auditions to pass?

Narration on this important parts of an audiobook it could make or break a story.
