Toby's been building up quite a reputation for himself.

Well, he likes to think so.

It's therefore no surprise that when things go wrong for any of his canine friends, he’s called in to help them out. But this time, it’s Toby who needs assistance.

The Pointy Woman is back and our talented spellbound hound has a bone to pick with her!

The problem is, first he has to find a way to get to her. Cue a helpful fox, a plucky hedgehog, a "bithycle" made for one, a balloon ride never to be forgotten and the usual shenanigans.

But when the fun and games are over, it’s time to get serious.

Deadly serious.

All the latest magick and mystery from your favourite Spellbound Hound.

Toby's adventures are best listened to in order, although they can be heard as standalones.

Jeannie Wycherley delivers yet another enchanting tale in "Up, Pup and Away", the seventh installment of the Spellbound Hound Magic and Mystery series. This book captures everything fans have come to love—heart, humor, and a dash of magical mischief—while raising the stakes for our favorite canine hero.

Toby’s journey in this story feels both fresh and familiar. The pacing is excellent, with plenty of action and intrigue to keep you hooked from start to finish. The world-building continues to shine, blending whimsical charm with suspense in a way that makes the setting feel alive. New friendships add warmth and depth to the narrative, making this adventure even more memorable.

David Winter’s narration is, as always, a perfect match for Toby’s voice and personality. His performance brings out the humor and tension beautifully, making the listening experience immersive and thoroughly enjoyable.

This was my favorite book of the series so far. The narrator brought the story to life. Toby and Sal are fun as roommates. When Toby goes in search of his nemesis, he finds being a hounded, even a Spellbound Hound, does not make distance travel any easier. A delightful story that had a satisfying conclusion and excellent narration.

Audiobook review: The narration is very good, easy to understand with different voices for the many characters.

Story review:
Absolutely love this book and the whole series! It is very original and extremely entertaining. Toby, the Spellbound Hound, is a delightful main character. A dog who can communicate with witches, wizards, and other animals and is always on an adventure. He meets many other interesting animals and persons along his way, making friends normally or sniffing out the bad characters. This story has him searching for the woman he believes is the evil "pointy lady ", the one who killed old Joe, his orifinal human. Clarissa, Old Joe's granddaughter, Toby's current human (owner), is trying hard to protect him. You have to chuckle at Toby's reasoning and adventures as he goes about his daily activities. Both him and Clarissa have a big heart. I loved the ending of this story and can't wait to see what will come next.

Toby faces his most personal and important case tracking his arch nemesis and bringing her to justice. In the previous book, Toby thinks he sighted the Pointy woman at a dog show. Now he has visions and is fixated on finding her. Clarissa is helping with research in some ancient texts, but Toby strikes out on his own you locate the Pointy woman’s home. With the assistance of some new forest friends and new (to Toby) modes of transportation, Toby finally finds her. Toby also befriends an old man in the park, but can’t decide if he is really a friend or foe. This is the most life threatening adventure for Toby and his friends. It is also the most heart clenching and tear jerking book. I loved it! The characters are so well developed and grow and mature over the course of the series. Toby and Clarissa are so well suited and I enjoy how they interact. Perhaps Clarissa’s boyfriend DC Ed will learn Toby-speak too. The narration is outstanding. His performance brings the characters and story to life.

I enjoyed this story as much as the others in the series. I felt for Toby as he worked through the events which helped him to recognize his old foe. I understood how Toby's suspicions started to affect his emotions and his perceptions. I appreciated the moments of humor which lightened some of the heavier themes in the tale. I liked Toby's newest companions: the fox and the hedgehog. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I was entertained by David Winter's narration as his performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
