Publisher's summary

In this adrenaline-charged thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Stuart Woods, Stone Barrington takes on a vengeful rival.

Stone Barrington is looking forward to some quiet time in New York City, until he is asked to transport precious, top-secret cargo across the Atlantic. Taking on the challenge, Stone flies off unaware of what—or who—he is bringing with him.

But his plans to lie low are quickly spoiled when a dangerous dispatcher tracks down Stone and his tantalizing mystery guest, intent on payback—and silencing anyone who poses a threat. From the English countryside to the balmy beaches of Key West, Stone is on an international mission to hide and protect those closest to him.

Waste of a credit

As a long time fan of the Barrington novels, I can’t believe that Woods keeps releasing this ridiculous garbage. The last several have been very bad, but this is the worst. There’s absolutely no plot. As usual, Roberts does a great job on the narration. That’s the only upside to this book. Don’t waste your time or your credit.

A waste of my money.

After finishing this book I felt completely cheated. It was a rehash of old stories, old characters and old places. Nothing new at all. Stone Barrington has outlived himself. I was extremely disappointed.
I am left with the impression that this was just a moneymaking project rather than a story telling project.

Ridiculous

Avoid purchasing this book.
According to Woods the NYPD is powerless against the bad guys.

Terrible story

These books are typically mediocre at best. This one was particularly abysmal and I was barely able to finish it.

More story please

Too much sex. Not enough plot. Like the characters but expect more than a roll in the hay and a Knob Creek.

Predictable

Another typical Barrington story: sex, money, running from bad guys. I was hoping it wouldn’t be the same, typical storyline.

Disappointed

I have so enjoyed all of the Stone Barrington books, this one disappointed. The female character was ridiculous!! She disregarded all efforts to protect her and all she had to do was jump into bed with Stone. Come on!! Stone has no trouble finding beautiful women he didn’t need her!!
