What a ride !!!!

Ahhhh. I loved this so, so much. A great mix of a really great story and steamy romance. These characters are so easy to root for and love. Read it now. You won’t be disappointed.

I am obsessed with this narration!

This is a standalone story set in an interconnected world. This is the first in the series and it Starts off with the MC's in college. ****There are some dark themes in this story that could be upsetting to some readers. Please do your homework before diving in.

I listed to this story in Audio. The Narrator's are Joe Arden and Kasha Kensington. As with all of their books, they both bring this story to life. The emotion put in these roles brings it to a different level and enhances the story so much more. Their performance of both the MC's and side characters really make this book a 5 star read for me. Thank you to both actors for their beautiful craft.

This is a dark story filled with secrets. Ones that can destroy your life and how you live it. Lyla was the beautiful college student who went to parties, was a star athlete, . and was the life of the party..... until she wasn't. Something changed her. She was no longer happy, became isolated and lost her spark. She meets Lachlan at a party...he is the star hockey player who everyone wants. That is until Lyla turns him away. Now she is in his radar and he falls hard. Lyla is starting to live again and coming back to life. Then.......she disappears. Lachlan will find her and when he does, he will destroy her.

Oh man this book had me in a chokehold...literally. The secrets and discoveries were what made this story good but the romance between Lachlan and Lyla was what set this book apart from others. Lachlan and his cockiness and Lyla with her smart mouth. The banter between them was on fire and their smexy scenes were off the charts hot. I loved how they rekindled their love and healed their broken hearts and in the end, they got their HEA. The suspense aspect enhanced the story and was probably my favorite part. I Loved the ending and cannot wait to read/listen to When We Lied.

A good, solid story

A nice surprise listen! I didn’t really know what it was about before I started listening to it. The narrators did well! I have to admit, I fast forwarded a bit in the middle bc I couldn’t handle the anxiety. It was making me anxious as I was cleaning the house so instead of stopping, I just fast forwarded a bit. Please don’t think that makes it a bad book, it was because of me.
The relationship is very deep and I think a lot of people will enjoy it and the storyline.

OMG male narrator makes my knees weak! I will listen to anything he narrates. Female narrator felt artificial and rushed. But she has potential…..
