Publisher's summary

I wish there was only today, just right now, and no forever.

It seems fitting that I fell in love in Paris, the most beautiful city in the world. And if I pretend, I can almost believe that my life is normal and everyone I care about is safe.

But as long as I’m with Vincent, “normal” doesn’t exist. Gorgeous, charming, and witty, he’s everything you could ask for in a boyfriend - but his destiny is so much more.

Even more terrifying than his destiny are his dangerous enemies, enemies who will kill for immortality. How are Vincent and I supposed to be together forever if we’re always in danger?

I know I’ll do whatever it takes - even if it means lying to the people I love - to fight against a fate that is trying to tear us apart.

Interesting Second Book

Any additional comments?

I thought Until I Die was just as interesting as the first book in the series. One thing I really liked about it in comparison to other second in the series books is that there was no giant drama/fight between the couple who fell in love in the first book.

I enjoyed learning more about the history of the Revenants and am definitely excited to read the next books. During the first book, I just really liked the whole idea of the Revenant but didn't really care for any of the characters all that much. I'm still feeling that way to a certain extent. I'm not super wrapped up in the romance between Vincent and Kate which is a bit of a let down. I am much more interested in the world/story that Amy Plum has created. The character I find my self most interested in is Jules. I'm hoping to find the relationships and people more interesting in the next books.

Wow

Well, I didn't see the ending coming. There was plenty of action and quite a bit more information of exactly what the rules of the revenant are. I enjoyed the extra information and still find the idea of revenant very interesting. The new characters of Violette and Arthur are an interesting addition but I missed more of Charlotte. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I thought Julia Whelan did a good job narrating and pronouncing the french names.

I fell in love with the characters

There are a lot of books out there like this series and some might even be better written. But i just loved these characters. I can't say that about some of the other popular YA books.

These characters are enjoyable, they like each other, they are good to each other and i just really liked them.

Usually sisters in these books don't like each other and adults are made to seem like the enemy. But in this series there is genuine love, and I found that refreshing.

The world of revenants is fascinating. This series is a good listen! And the narrator does a fabulous job.

I'm left hanging and dying to know what happens...

What did you love best about Until I Die?

Amy Plum's books are filled vivid imagery of wonderful scenery and deep characters that you get attached to. I waited and waited for book 2 to be released as an audio book. Yes it's a love story, but it's no twilight. This is a wonderful journey into a world of other beings, never seen before. No Vampires and Werewolves here.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters. They are not a copy of anything I've read/listened to before. Fabulously creative.

Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Each new character is distinct of the rest with the voices she uses. It gives the book a depth that other narrators have fallen short on.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If only my work day was longer...

I did not feel the "love" like most did

Would you try another book from Amy Plum and/or Julia Whelan?

Yes, I will probably listen to another book by Amy Plum but it will not be the last one in the series.

What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?

Julia Whelan did an amazing job with the voices, but one. She made Vincent sound like a 50 year old man in this book. She did an excellent job with is voice in book 1. I can not believe that the director and editor of this audio did not say something to her.

Any additional comments?

3.5 Stars

It was okay. I won't be reading the last book in the series. I don't regret using a credit to buy this audio, but I know I won't be buying the last book in the series.

I liked that the sisters liked each other, but Georgia always getting in trouble and acting like a party girl got on my nerves. She was always hot for someone and her fake southern accent - not sure why anyone wanted her around. I don't understand how her grandparents allowed her party behavior.

There was a nice twist in this one. Shocking I did not see that one coming!!

I know everyone is team Vincent, but not sure if I was ever in love with Vincent like everyone else. Vincent is almost too perfect. Plus, Kate is not his first love. He was engaged to a woman, Helene, before he died that he loved with all his heart. I really liked Jules.

Julia Whelan did a good job for the most part, but she made Vincent sound like a 50 year old man not a 19 year old.

Great Book in the Series

Great book loved it. The narrator that is doing Vincent makes him sound like an old man but does the female ones great.
