Publisher's Summary

Winning had never been the plan. I just wanted to go home. I still do. Now, I'm in too deep. With my conversion only days away, the count down has begun. When it hits zero, I lose. My only hope is to rely on the one who brought me here in the first place. A few unlikely friends might make all the difference between the Fold winning and a revolution. If I can stay alive that long.

Great series!

This series is a great new spin a dystopian PNR Cinderella story. I love the characters- well... I hate some of the characters but only because they are pure evil! The plot line is unique. I like that what once started as a Cinderella story has morphed into something much much more and nothing like you would have expected. I was riveted and can't wait for the next installment.

Narration is a dream! Melissa lends such soul to the characters she narrates for. She brings them to life and gives them voice- and what a voice it is! Absolutely a pleasure to listen to.

A Great Sequel To The First Book in The Sequel

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I'm truly enjoying this series in which vampires are perceived as semi-human. Clarabella is a very likable character with her stubborn and relentless pursue of the absorbing quest to free her people from the manipulations of the vampires' society and the unequal and unfair treatment they are receiving.
I'm also very taken with some of the "vampires", especially Asher, and their minions that show so much more compassion than you'd expect to find in them. To me, Patrick seems vastly misunderstood by Clarabella. I feel the love she has for her is truly genuine and he is trying to make things right in his own way and to the best of his abilities. This is one of those moments in which Clara should show a little more maturity and give him the chance to prove himself to her.
The ending was a little disappointing. I was expecting something more dramatic to tell you the truth, but I guess we'll have to listen to the third book in the series to know how the story will develop. I'm guessing Erin Bedford has a plan...
The narration was truly well done and the different characters were portrayed splendidly by Melissa Moran.
A captivating fantastical series reminiscent of a fairytale.

A bit disappointed with the follow up

This is the second book in Bedfords Crimson Fold series. It picks up right at the end of the last book. In this installment, Bedford incorporates a horrible love triangle between the main character Clara, ruler Patrick and male friend Marcia. It was completely unnecessary and made Clara and Marcia look like imbeciles. Marcia, has now become my least favorite character, which is saying something.
One good thing, is we are given a history of why the fold is the way it is and why they continue on their current path. I will be waiting for the next book, and hope it redeems this one.

Make sure to read Book 1 first!

Until Dawn, Book 2 of The Crimson Fold series by Erin Bedford starts up right where Book 1, Until Midnight leaves us. I would definitely recommend reading the series from start to finish so you know what's going on in the latter books in the series. I really am enjoying the Crimson Fold series and can't wait to listen to the next one. It's almost part Hunger Games and part...I don't know, but it's really good! If you haven't listened to Book 1, I don't want to give any spoilers away. Regardless, if you're looking for a fun, easy listen, I'd definitely recommend this series. My only wish is that the books were longer because I never want them to end!

As you can read for the description, Clara and her friend Marsha (a boy) are invited to a Crimson Fold party in Book 1. Well, Book 2 takes off right where Book 1 leaves the reader and the party wasn't quite as it seemed. Clara's trying to keep control while at the same time getting to know Patrick, her betrothed, a bit better. There's a whole bunch of other stuff, but like I said, I don't wait to spoil anything!!

Melissa Moran does a fabulous job voicing Clara and the other characters. She was a perfect fit to narrate this story and it really adds to the reader being taken away to another land while listening. I'll always be happy to listen to books narrated by her! I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

I think I'm addicted to this series

Melissa Moran is great yet again. I really like her voicing Clara. She is a fiery and headstrong character and Melissa does a great job bringing that out. I feel her anger, frustration, fear, and pain. It's why I love listening to this series on audio.

Until Dawn picks up about where the Until Midnight ended. In this book I liked seeing Clara and Patrick interact a lot more and she learns more about the Folds way of doing things much to her horror. As much as Clara claims to hate Patrick, there is a clear attraction she can't deny. She doesn't give into this attraction for the most part. I like and sometimes disliked how much she challenged Patrick and things he does. While I love her for calling him out for things he lets the Fold do, she doesn't ever hear him out because things seem to be more complex than him decreeing something and it's law. Plus, her rash decision with Marsha gets them both into trouble and she had the nerve to blame him.

I do like the direction this series is headed and I was not expecting that ending. Make because I was so wrapped up in the story I wasn't trying to figure out what would happen next. Melissa Moran can do that to you when your listening to her. Can't wait to see what Erin Bedford comes up with in the next book.

Great book!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I thought this was a great follow up to book 1 of this series. It picks up right where book 1 leaves off (which is nice). In fact, I thought this book was even better than the first book. I think the author and narrator really find their groove in this book. I find I'm looking forward to the next book being released on Audible. Well done!

Great Reveal of The Fold

Clara winning and getting swept into becoming one of the newest converts for The Fold brings a whole new level of excitement to this story. I've loved following this world and getting to learn all of its secrets. I hope in Until Sunset we get more of the inner workings of The Fold and we can get to see more into the mystery of the great evil. I loved Melissa's narration and the sense of foreboding that her voice added to the story.

A Good Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, and found it very entertaining. The characters are interesting and well written. As with most Dystopian tales, the ruling class controls all the other class. Clara, the chosen bride, is struggling to come to terms with what she has learned and what she needs to do about it. Too soon, her and her friends get caught and must deal with the circumstances. You'll keep listening to see what kind of trouble Clara will get into next. I'm looking forward to Volume 3.

Excellent second installment!

This book picks up right from the last. Clara is still with the fold and is still struggling with her feelings for both men. With her wedding and her conversion approaching she tries to hatch a plan. She makes many disturbing discoveries along the way. I cant wait for the next book in the series! Expertly narrated as always, I definitely recommend this dystopian series!
