I actually listened to this book on Audible and really enjoyed it. I honestly thought the narration by Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter was perfect! Their voices matched up with what my mind thought Ana and Aubrey might truly sound like. Thus, the narration added so much to my enjoyment of this story for me personally.

This is my first Lauren Landish book and I was so pleased! I was able to listen to book 9 of a series and not feel like I was missing out on anything at all that may have taken place in any of the previous books. This was a true standalone in every sense.

Untamed is a second chance romance about high school superstar athlete Aubrey O'Day and his girl Ana. The two young lovers had plans to spend the rest of their lives together until one tragic event changes everything. Aubrey abruptly disappears from Ana's life leaving her heart shattered for the next decade. What Ana does not realize is that Aubrey is just as shattered, and he has pined for her ever since, unable to fully put the pieces of his life back together.
When Ana decides to take a vacation to the mountains, she could not have imagined that after all this time, she would come face to face with the one time love of her life. Aubrey turns out to be the owner of one of the two cabins that are nestled within the remote mountains; one of which has been rented by Ana.

Over the initial sudden and unexpected shock of seeing one another after ten years, Aubrey is determined to set his life back on the course that he always felt was predestined. While Ana is guarded and unsure where her heart is concerned, the caring, considerate, registered nurse part of her demands that she help Aubrey after he sustains an injury. Over time, they get to know one another, hearts soften, walls crumble, and forgiveness and healing take root. Accepting that they each have an opportunity to let their one true love reclaim the heart that was given to them so long ago, Aubrey and Ana seize their second chance at love.

The story was beautifully written, so captivating, with characters that wind themselves around your heart.
Aubrey was the perfect, gruff, alpha, bad---, mountain man with a heart desperate to love. Ana was selfless, sweet, spirited, and deserved a man who could and would always love her the way Aubrey did.

Their story was sweet and yet intensely passionate, with plenty of heat. Loved that epilogue!
Really enjoyable audiobook that I highly recommend. I definitely plan to read more from this author and look forward to getting to know many more of the irresistible bachelors.

Untamed never looked sooo good

Aubrey and Ana find that love knows limits, no end, and no boundaries- and most importantly it always wins. Ana can pinpoint the exact reason for her inability to trust and find love to her heartbreaking loss of her high school sweetheart Aubrey O’Day. One day they were talking about every future plan possible and the next he was gone without a trace. Now her she stands a decade later still hopelessly single and tirelessly overworked. Don’t get her wrong she loves her job but before she burns out she needs some R&R to recharge. She just never for a moment thought that her sojourn into the wilderness would lead her straight back into the arms of the man that crushed her all those years ago. Aubrey had spent years to become a veritable caveman. Just him and his dog Rex coexisting is peaceable silence. When his cousin convinces him to rent out his second cabin for some addition income he never expected his past to come full force back into his life. His Sweet Ana is his biggest reject in life. He never explained the circumstances behind his disappearance and maybe if he had they would have the life they had always planned. He knows one thing though - this time around he’s not letting his girl get away!


Narration- Ava and Stephen brought Aubrey and Ana to life with ease and really immerse you in the story fully!

A cabin in the woods!

What better place for romance to be rekindled then in the woods! Anna needs to get away, and books a vacation to a place where memories are strong. Little does she know that a second chance at romance awaits her. Aubrey lives a reclusive life, and in need of money, rents out a cabin on his property for vacationers. What a surprise when his first rental is to his first and only love! This second chance romance is full of ups and downs, memories and hopes, tragedies and successes. Aubrey and Anna are both broken by past mistakes, but this time together begins a healing process that only their love can provoke. Lauren Landish has a way of writing a hero with a strong protective streak, yet has vulnerable tendencies that create such emotions, it is impossible not to fall for them. Her heroines are strong, Anna proves this with her ability to survive, forgive and love again. This story will make you feel every emotion, and give you the satisfaction of a happily ever after you are looking for! It's one you will not want to miss!

Narrated by Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter, the book is an incredible listen. Ava brings every feeling Anna has to life with her wildly passionate and emotional voices. Stephen has a growlie, yet sensual sound for Aubrey that will stir your heart to life. Together the book is phenomenal!

MY MUSINGS:
UNTAMED is a beautifully penned love story that’s overflowing with torrid, unbridled passion, heart tugging emotion, sparking banter, sizzling erotic interludes and breathtaking tenderness! There is a rich, complicated history—and lava hot chemistry--between these two former flames and I savored every single moment of this steamy, emotion packed page turner!

I love me a ruggedly sexy, filthy talking, caveman alpha and Aubrey OWNED MY HEART! As did Ana, the love of his life, who beneath the guarded, skittish exterior lies the heart of the beautiful, kind, gentle-spirited woman who still sets Aubrey’s soul on fire!

I relished the development of this romance as these two estranged lovers slowly but surely heal their past hurts and enjoyed bearing witness to how bitter animosity eventually gave way to a hot burning love that cannot be contained! But Aubrey harbors a heartbreaking, long buried secret about their past that once revealed could crack the new foundation they have just begun to rebuild!

The author really made us root so hard for these characters and I loved how she juxtaposed flashbacks from the past to shed light on the blossoming love and eventual destruction of this beloved couple. These two certainly have their ups and downs but their HEA was absolutely beautiful and yes, in case you’re wondering, sweet Ana eventually tames her beast…except in the bedroom (hee hee!)

This was an audio listen and the NARRATION by Stephen Dexter and Ava Erickson was fantastic! Mr. Dexter’s deep, gravelly, rumbly tone was perfect for growly mountain man Aubrey O’Day. His impassioned performance both SEDUCED me and made my HEART ACHE, and I love how this talented narrator always throws his whole essence into his performances!

As for Ms. Erickson, she was wonderfully cast as Ana! Her soft, feminine voice brought this sweet, stubborn and kind-hearted heroine to life for me, and I loved the vast range of emotions she depicted throughout. Her intonations could shift from soft and sweetly compassionate, to sexy and sultry, to sassy and strong-willed with such finesse. And the manner in which she infused this heroine with an intoxicating blend of strength and empathy and aching vulnerability left me breathless!

Great Story, Great Narration

Lauren Landish wrote another awesome book full of chemistry, great imagery, and a second chance at Love. I loved how the narrators gave heartfelt emotions that were so deserving of this story. Aubrey and Anna have a chance to rekindle their romance in a mountain cabin. I love how the author incorporates both strengths of protectiveness and assurance along with vulnerabilities into her characters. They have flaws, realistic emotions, and previous baggage to overcome. This book is a great read, and even better listen. Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter are spot on performers. I highly recommend this listen!

Good Story

Aubrey and Ana, HS sweethearts promises of a future, torn apart by tragedy, and too young to understand the consequences of actions and the time to heal. Find each other unexpectedly and now Aubrey is determined to make things right and get the girl he hurt back, even if it means giving up his recluse life. Always love Stephen Dexter, and Ava do a great job as Aubrey and Ana, and Brad and Trey are a hoot as they are in some of the other books.

Rollercoaster of Emotions

Roller coaster of emotions! Untamed is Aubrey's & Ana's story. They were high school sweethearts until Aubrey up & leaves one night without a word why. Fast-forward 10 years & Ana is ready for a vacation in the mountains. She thinks that she knows of the perfect place until she gets there & finds Aubrey. They don't know what to do about running into each other. Is their past too much for them & why did he leave? They both still having feelings for each other but have changed so much over the years. Can they pick back up & see what happens? I couldn't put this book down. I felt for each of them & understood their reasoning for their action both in the past & present. I love this series & this book was so different from the rest but so worth it too. The narration was really good & fit this story well.

Love this series . I have all but one of them. Lauren draws you in with her stories . There are many layers but I love how Lauren always writes characters with depth and the love shows threw . . This story is no different . The narrators were phenomenal. I love Ava . I have listened to a few stories with her. Stephan played it perfectly. Both narrators voices were strong, clear and they brought the story to life.

Hero is Aubrey . Heroes is Ana.
There was a love blooming between Ana and Aubrey since they were knew high . They thought they were going to grew old together. Something tore them apart. And both Aubrey and Ana went their separate ways . Ana became a nurse . Nursing took its toll on her . 10 years later when Ana needed a vacation she decides to rent a cabin . It’s far from civilization, in the mountains.
Aubrey is a changed man . He lives by himself in the mountains. He’s become cold towards life . But he has never forgotten his first love ,...Ana
Ana runs into Aubrey . She is still hurt when he left but the love for him is still strong .
