The twists, turns, and heartbreak of this book makes it one of the best stories I've listened to in a long time. Thank you!

New author for this listener

This is the first time I've read a book by Samantha Towle in a very long time and I wasn't disappointed. Either was i disappointed with Victoria Aston, the narrator.
The story jumps into the fray immediately with our heroine, Daisy, falsely arrested for robbery when in actuality the thief was her boyfriend's brother. Daisy is sent to prison for 3years, serves 18 months and gets an early release. Meanwhile her younger brother is in the foster system. Daisy knows she needs a job as the first step in getting her brother back. Her best friend thru all of this is Cece, who has bought a place where she, Daisy and her brother can live. Cece is aware of what Daisy needs and what she has to do to prove she is in a stable place now and can be responsible in caring for her brother since dad is dead and mom ran off.
Daisy is hired by Kas, who lives in his parents estate, as a maid.
Interesting is how the author ties Kas' teenage tragedy/secrets to the false imprisonment of Daisy's. The catalyst of both appears in name only during most of the book but has such a profound effect on both the H and h. The "demon" comes into the picture towards the end of the book and gives Kas and Daisy the opportunity to set right the wrongs that were committed. There isn't much background story of most of the secondary players. The focus was on Daisy and Kas.
The epilogue is used to see into the characters lives 3 years forward. It felt a bit rushed, but at least there is a HEA.

The story was so well written and Victoria did an amazing job at bringing the story to life . Amazing all the way around and I highly recommend this book!

Binge worthy

This book will be one that you can’t put down. I loved everything about it. The only critique that I could give is I wish that it was a duel performance. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

I wish I had more stars to give...

Wow, this whole story just was mind blowing. It had all the right elements for a sizzling hot romance and drama combined. It had an emotional tie in with the love-hate relationship, the ruined by someone else's hand scenarios and the real life threatening thug, who didn't care who he hurt.
The above would , and should have been enough, but the brilliant performance of the narrator, just added further dimension to an already well crafted tale.
If you listen to only one audiobook this year, make it this one!!!

What an exciting rollercoaster this book was!!!

This was my first book by this author and narrator. It had me in tears for this girl who was trying to take care of her little brother and was wrongly accused of a crime she didn’t commit, she was set up. All she wanted was to get back to him and get him out of foster care. She needs to prove herself to the system to get custody of him. She goes and works for a man who is mean to her one moment and kissing her the next. So many unexpected twists and turns in this book. I’m glad I found this on BookTok and experienced it!

Definitely an unexpected romance.

I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen but then the story took a turn in the opposite direction. I loved every second.

Listened on audible. Great story, hard to put down. VERY steamy, but a lovely story.

This book is a bit different from other books by this author but not in a bad way! It doesn’t have as much sex appeal as say The Mighty Storm’s Jake Wethers LoL. But it still has a couple very sexy scenes💋
It is a unique story with interesting, sometimes sad, sometimes utterly disturbing and occasionally angsty scenarios in a solid listen for romance lovers who like a little Taste of dark, a little sex, a lot of suspense.
