Publisher's Summary

It's a radical, provocative idea: We're not entitled to get offended or stay angry. The idea of our own "righteous anger" is a myth. It is the number-one problem in our societies today and, as Dallas Willard says, Christians have not been taught out of it.

As it turns out, giving up our "right" to be offended can be one of the most freeing, healthy, simplifying, relaxing, refreshing, stress-relieving, encouraging things we can do. In Unoffendable, listeners will find something of immeasurable value - a concrete, practical way to live life with less stress. They'll adjust their expectations to fit human nature and replace perpetual anger with refreshing humility and gratitude.

Through the author's winsome, humorous, and conversational style, this book doesn't add another thing to do on a stressed-out person's ever-growing list. Unoffendable actually seeks to lift religious burdens from our backs and allow us to experience the joy of gratitude, perhaps for the first time, every single day of our lives.

Witty and challenging

As a person who gave their life to Jesus at a young age and in ministry for 20 years, I was challenged and humbled as I listened to Unoffendable. The gospel came to life, with the fresh reminder that my standing with God has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with Jesus. Through vivid illustrations and humorous whit Hanson reminds us that the gospel helps us see people as God sees them and frees us from the need to judge! A must read for anyone who wants to grow in loving others and living with freedom and joy.

Truth. How refreshing.

Thank you, Brant. You nailed it. Suffered some conviction. Cried a strange mix of happy-sad tears. But mostly smiled & laughed... a lot. God is so good and His truth is so liberating.

"As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."
- Ephesians 4:14-16 (NASB)

Fantastic Listen and Personally Challenging

I tend toward books narrated by the author as they alone know how to emphasize and pace their reading of their own writing.

Since Brant is a radio personality, his voice and style is well developed and suited for audio books.

The book continues to present me with personal challenges long after having finished it.
On many parts, I rewound to relisten as he was going too deep into my spirit for a casual listen.

I could not have loved this book more! = Freedom!

If you could sum up Unoffendable in three words, what would they be?

Love & Total Freedom. This book was incredible. The concept of living life "unoffendable" was not only eye-opening for me but life-changing too. It filled my heart with love and compassion and gave me total freedom. The book is everything it promises to those who read it with an open mind. I LOVED IT! <3

Who was your favorite character and why?

There are so many moving stories and examples in the book that bring the author's concept of living life unoffendable to life, that it's too hard to pick just one. Several examples stand out, like the Christian coffee shop owner who wore a tuxe and handed out chocolate covered strawberries to the artists whom their art wasn't his taste to make them feel loved, to the times in which the author discusses times where he may have taken a wrong turn and how they turned out, as well as the overall concept of Grace. The book is: novel, eye-opening, kind, loving, forgiving, inspiring and gives the reader the gift of total freedom. It will change your life. I can't say enough good things about it.

Which scene was your favorite?

I honestly loved the whole book. I love audible and can't seem to devour enough books on it. Although some are better than others, and some really pull you in more; This was one of them! I wanted to listen to it straight through without stopping and it was really engaging and life-changing!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"You're the Teflon and say hello to total freedom."

Any additional comments?

I absolutely loved the author of this book! I loved that he read the book himself and I thought the way he wrote and spoke the book out loud, like he was having a conversation with the reader, was so easy on the ears! I loved that he spoke swiftly and I felt like the book went by so fast. I wanted more! He had a great sense of self-deprecation, humility and humor - all of which I find like a "cool drink of water in the dessert" (to quote the author on humility ;-) ) I truly think this was a rare gem and I am so glad I got it. I can't believe it was a bargain book for $5 at the end of Summer, but it's one everyone should grab before it's gone and is a fantastic read. One last thing - Don't be scared of this book if you think it's just for Christians or just for a certain "type" of reader. It really isn't. It's one man's perspective on life and how to go about it living a freeing loving existence and I truly feel in my heart anyone from any background with an open mind could truly benefit from reading it. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++ Enjoy!! :)

Way to go

I have a sore shoulder. I've been scouring the internet to find out what the problem is. I think it needs to be amputated. We, my wife and I, will be listening to this once a quarter for the rest of our lives. Thank you.

Humbly life-changing

I would recommend this book to anyone. Especially, if you find yourself in conflict often With most people. If you enjoy conflict, then I would recommend reading, listening audibly, and highlighting.

I really enjoyed this book

Love and grace are the beautiful gifts that have been given to me by our dear Lord, in His goodness He is transforming me to be like Himself, so that I finally have something good to give. My judgemental and angry thoughts never helped anyone, His kindness melts the ugliest heart, I know, I had one.
