Publisher's summary

Lecturer, syndicated columnist, television commentator, debater, marketer, businessman, best-selling author, publisher, and activist L. Brent Bozell III is one of the most outspoken and effective national leaders in the conservative movement today. As the founder and president of the Media Research Center, Mr. Bozell runs the largest media watchdog organization in America and is uniquely positioned to offer this blazing critique of the bias in the national media and how they undermine American democracy. Using coverage of the rise of Donald Trump and his presidency as a case study of sorts, Bozell and his co-author Tim Graham expose all the different types of bias that can occur - both hidden and overt - and examine their insidious effects. This narrative also follows and analyzes the campaigns - and results - of the 2018 midterms, providing the most comprehensive, detailed, and explosive analysis to date concerning how the media willingly stokes divisiveness in American politics.

Good stuff but could have been better!

The book was well researched and loaded with examples of bias. I appreciated the statistics compiled in this book. Reading the numbers and examples was stunning and sobering at the same time.

That said, the book didnt seem complete. Maybe the author is working on a sequel? There was no conclusion! I had expected two more components to this book and it it did not deliver.

1. I'd love to know more about who and how the media is being manipulated. Who is the puppet master? Such a complete disregard for the real facts by so many media outlets is disturbing. Someone is choreographing.

2. There desperately needed to be a conclusion. There are consequences to our country with all this propagandizing 24/7, each day, every day! Its so blatent! Am I the only only one angry about this? What are the ramifications and future of our politics and democracy? What has happened to journalism? How is this so acceptable to so many people?

I've always considered true, honest and proper press reporting to be the 4th arm of an effective government. It's an absolute necessity and journalists should bear a solemn trust to report accurate news, all of it.

'We the People' are the 5th arm. The press needs to be totally unbiased in order to report responsibly and accurately to the people. If this doesn't happen, if there is unfettered bias, misinformation and the hiding exculpatory news from the public by the press, there is a a breakdown in the system and this country is in big, big trouble. We the people need to demand better reporting. Unless something is done to drain the media swamp our Republic is in danger. Of course, being fed only what liberal news sources want us to be fed is not journalism, it's called propaganda and we deserve better. It's an insult to all American citizens that some of these news outlets believe selective reporting is for our own good. They have to know this is what they do in banana republic. It's that bad, in my view. Unless people wake up and demand better our country will go down the tubes. Well, there you have it. This is my conclusion.

The Enemy of the People

This book provides overwhelming evidence of the blatant hypocrisy exhibited by our media. They bear full responsibility for the level of discord in this country. We need a free and honest press. Ours is controlled and corrupt.

Excellent #CorruptMSM Takedown!!!

The United States of America is in trouble. The #CorruptMSM, which should be protecting our nation, are not. Like Mark R Levin's tome, this book tells the sad story of "journalism" today.

truth about media

Good book outing the media or it's true agenda. I listen to the lot of conservative talk shows and newscasts and knew about a lot of the things in this book but I did learn some things that I didn't know. Very informative book would recommend.

Exceptional! An Honest account Media's bias

In today's society its rare to find honest accounting of media's despicable attacks on the presidential administration & half of our nation. Cable news, Social media & Hollywood breathlessly attack in a dishonest vial twisting of the truth. A work like this becomes a piece of historical record that will forever shine a light on these despicable moments. An excellent work by a talented writer.. Read this amazing book & it may change your perspective

Very eye-opening!!

I have always been suspicious of the bias of our press, this book confirmed it!! The author was a true reporter, reporting both positive and negative aspects of Trump. Very very refreshing, wish our media had the same courage to do their job.

The TRUTH about the Tmedia coverage in a nutshell

zI could hear the lyrical condemnation of the Media and their abandonment of journalism in their rabid dog reporting on our President and the clear reversal of their Obama adoration

Journalism is dead!

Great book, well sourced. It was funny and informative to be reminded of everything those hacks said, did and tweeted, wasnt impressed by the voice over talent though. Highly recommend!

Fab book, the most boring narration.

Why would they entrust to read a booknof such magnitude, full of research data and facts to someone who can put warms to sleep with hos voice?
