We are only as good as our ego. I have learned the hard way how my ego can hinder my ability to communicate with others. I had to learn what I could and could not control. Once, I was willing to remove the mask of perfection I learned to be confident in my unique skills and talents. I no longer needed to seek validation from others. I was able to rest in my skills and not feel inadequate if I did not know something. That was huge for me as my upbringing was filled with the work of being a high performer. Asking for help, learning from others and realizing that my flaws made way for me to work with others who were good at what I struggled in.

As a mother of 15 children, I am always questioned by others about how I do all that I do? I have learned how to be comfortable with transparency so that I can help others eliminate the excuses for what is keeping them stuck. I often sought validation from others and was concerned with people pleasing to feel valued. My life was centered around being a high performer and full of ego that was grown from the accolades of honor roll etc. That mindset made it impossible for me to transition to a life of a stay home mom. I had no Plan B and lost my identity when I had no life that resembled what I spent my whole life working towards. I went into a 13 year struggle with depression and 3 hospitalizations. I learned after my last hospitalization in 2016, to create a fresh start with my mindset and live a life free of depression. I began sharing my knowledge with other women in order to help them avoid the pitfalls that I encountered. I now am passionate about sharing the importance of self love, boundaries and collaboration in order to live your best life. I share that message in my books, speaking events, podcast and my livestream TV series. I have also been able to create a community with women to support them in their business and personal development.
