Not good

Not really any new information, it seems like you can find the little bit of information yourself in the internet if you spend 20 minutes looking for it. Sorry but didn't like it

Interesting and very informative!

Any additional comments?

Interesting and very informative! This book provided some history of what we know of the brain. The brain is often compared to a computer but the author took the analogy a step further showing how the lobes, veins and arteries truly are comparable. He offered many simple and attainable ways to remedy memory issues. Definitely some helpful information I plan on using.

A good summary of established techniques

Alex Allen's audiobook to help listeners improve memory is a very useful and concise summary of established techniques but, before deciding to purchase the book, it’s important to note the disclaimer tucked away at the end which covers a lot of legalese, including that he "does not warrant or represent at any time that the contents within are accurate due to the rapidly changing nature of the internet." Shame on him for not using a real library! (joking).

Allen insists that anyone can improve their memory and goes on to discuss mind-mapping, isochronic tones, mnemonic techniques, herb and aromatherapy, and changing our behaviour. He discusses each one at length, offering examples and ideas, with a final section summarising some of these techniques and adding a few extras in brief.

Charles Orlik narrates the audiobook in an engaging and enthusiastic manner, which helps when listening to such a dry topic. It’s a short listen, running only 45 minutes, but the book covers a lot in that time and Orlik keeps it interesting, pausing momentarily in the right places to let information sink in, but never stopping the flow. His diction is clear and he seems genuinely interested in the topic, although whether that’s a display of his skill as a narrator, or an actual fact, is anyone’s guess.

Unlimited Memory Learning Techniques saves you having to do the base research yourself, providing a good resource as a starting point to understanding many of the memory techniques around. From here, you start your own journey of discovery, armed with some knowledge of what might work best for you.
