A stand out performance from Snedeker

Immersive story backed and elevated by a hypnotizing performance by Bradley Snedeker. This actor can get you to squirm in your seat or fist pump the air depending on who he's channelling. The story is a dark, revenge-fueled journey on its own, but what really sticks out is how well he's able to build the tension of a scene before the inevitable carnage ensues. Eagerly anticipating the sequel!

Great start to a series

Short and full of action.
Story full of pain, action and drama.
I’m 100% going to continue with the series. I really enjoyed the narrator. Good voice for the story. Multiple perspectives made the story better and easy to follow.
Bring on Sofia’s story.

Unforgivable is the Perfect name for this book

I have been on a binge read of James Fuller books, so this was on my list but wasn't sure what I was getting into ahead of time. HOLY cow, what a sorted, sad, brutal and gripping tale. It's sat way in the past, when times seemed much more simple on the surface, but really were hard times. It's the story of Jamus, a hard working family man who loved his wife and two children very much. They didn't have much, but they had each other and that was enough. Then PURE evil strikes, and takes EVERYTHING away from Jamus in one night. It was savage, bloody and so brutal is was hard to grasp. You hated those who had a hand in their demise and find yourself fully supporting the revenge that Jamus is set on inflicting on ALL involved. He should be dead too, but something inside him keeps him going. The thought that his daughter is still out there, in the hand of a disgusting man who wants to do horrible things to her. You find yourself hoping that every kill Jamus commits that it will be the one that takes him to her so he can save her. His hate and pure rage keeps him going, until he can reunite with this daughter and take down everyone in his path. This was a quick read and so well written, it was like a movie playing out in my mind. I found myself listening to it from beginning to end with no pause, I had to know is Jamus got his revenge. I listened to the audio and the narrator on this has a deep, dark, gritty voice that fit perfect with the tone of the book. Heading off the book 2 now, excited to see where we are taken next! Be warned this can be trigger for rape and violence.

You WONT put down. Nor will you want too! Read it!!

In this book I had to always remind myself that this was just a book. It seriously brings in a lot of serious situations. Where my emotions boiled. I also clapped in awe for the greats hero’s. Yet you will have to decide yourself who each hero is by your own life’s experiences.

Great “short” story

If you’re looking for a “short” book, this one won’t disappoint. There’s enough detail to really paint the picture in your mind but it’s tastefully done as not to overwhelm.

It’s a complete story on its own but does leave you wondering what happened next.

Could Not Stop Listening

This books was amazing. A great story written by James Fuller and the narrator, Bradley Snedeker, worked his magic with his voice, breathing life to in every character. If I closed my eyes, I could see the world and characters James created come alive thanks to Bradley. I have the next one in the series and I cannot wait to listen to that one next.

Given this audiobook in exchange for honest review

Unforgivable by James Fuller is a fiction novel set in Medieval times, about a man named Jamus seeking vengeance on his murdered family.

The book follows Jamus, a farmer, in his search for his daughter and the men who killed his family to kidnap her. He soon meets Barbra, a maid for one of the targeted men, who joins him on his journey.

I felt this book had some strengths and weaknesses. Some of the strengths go to the writing. It was very well written and had me wanting to know what was going to happen next.

Another strength was the voice acting for the audiobook. The deep, gravelly voice added to the dark and dirty feel of the story itself.

Some of the weaknesses would have to go toward the writing as well. It was very well written but I noticed a repetition of phrases throughout the book.

The length of the book was also very upsetting. The audiobook was only 3 hours long and from the description on Amazon, it looks like the book itself is only 97 pages long. For the genre, and the story subject (revenge and a journey), it could have easily gotten into the 100,000-word count, which is the usual word count for a story of this type. The major thing that factors into the word count is the lack of a “B plot”. The whole story is following the “A plot” without touching anything else. I'm not giving spoilers but there were a few scenes that were added that could have been a good “B Plot”, but were sadly cut short and felt a little unnecessary.

There are 2 other books in this series, but with a little work, a book of this length could have had all 3 books in one.

I did like the book but I wouldn't buy it for $13 on Amazon for a paperback, not at this length. The audiobook is only $3 and seems a little more appropriate for the length.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys revenge stories and needs a quick read. CONTENT WARNING FOR R*PE and PEDOPHILIA.

Fun and violent

This is a revenge story. It pulls no punches. It doesn't try to fool you. It's a fastball pitcher letting it go. You standing in the box or not?

My boy (main character) is getting revenge for all that was wronged to him. The bad guy is someone who needs revenge rained on him, and he's deplorable in possibly the worst way. Just scum.

We meet some interesting people and there are some surprises to some outcomes, but it just adds to the fuel. As a matter of fact, nearly every emotional tick tops itself off with anger and violence.

I don't think the narration always represented the story well. It's a solid narration, but there were times (specifically towards the middle of the book) when I felt my innervoice suited the story better. I would wonder what it would be like on the page. That said, the tone is spot on, and the different voices turn out well.

This is a fast listen. I heard it on my car ride to work and home. It did well taking me from the road and into, well, an angrier place

UNFORGIVABLE is Excellent!

The narrator of this book, Bradley Snedeker, had the perfect deep voice for the characters and especially the hero, Jamus. If you enjoy fast-paced, dark and gritty reads, this is the book for you. It is well-written and kept my interest from the beginning to the end and I will be continuing with the rest of the series as well. James Fuller takes you to a place where a simple farmer, loving husband and father suffers a tragedy beyond endurance and changes from a mild mannered man into a seeker of justice and vengeance for those he lost and for the daughter who was taken from him. I would highly recommend it.

A Dark and Wild Story

Such a great performance by the narrator, whose tone and cadences really brought this book to life. The story was so intense and really made you feel for the MC, he is such a truly likable anti-hero. The story was easy to follow and kept you involved with the story.

Unforgivable

I enjoyed this. I found the narrator's style a little overpowering, but once you get used to it, it's worth a listen!

Ps. That might just be me as a Brit!!
