  • Create Your Purpose: Why Meaning Matters More Than Hustle, with Quinn Tempest (#146)
    Mar 20 2026

This episode is a personal one.

I’m talking about purpose with Guest Quinn Tempest. Not the kind you sit around waiting to discover, but the kind you build. The kind you create by showing up, paying attention, and slowly realizing what still matters enough to keep going.

After everything that shifted in 2024, I’ve had to reexamine what is true, what no longer fits, and what I’m still here to do. In this season of my life and business, I know with more clarity than ever that purpose is not passive. It’s something we shape through our choices, our creativity, and the work we decide is worth continuing.

In this conversation with Quinn Tempest we talk about creating purpose instead of trying to “find” it, why that idea matters so much right now, and how we build meaningful work in a world that keeps trying to push us toward noise, speed, and performance.

If you’ve been questioning what you’re here to do, how to reconnect with your work, or whether your next chapter can be built with more intention, this episode is for you.

  • From Side Project to Real Business: Why Investing in Your Art Business Changes Everything with Ruth Ander (#145)
    Feb 27 2026

In this episode, I’m joined by printmaker and teacher Ruth Ander, an artist who proves you don’t need a press, a studio, or a “proper setup” to make stunning work.

We talk about how Ruth found printmaking, why she chose the path that felt right even when teachers told her not to, and how making at home gave her creative freedom.

Ruth breaks down her process in a way that makes you want to clear off your kitchen table and start. Roll out a little paint. Pull a print. See what happens.

But we also talk about what shifts when you decide your art is more than a side project. When you’re willing to invest time, energy, and resources into building something sustainable. When you move from hoping it works to treating it like it matters.

Ruth shares what changed when she stopped holding back and started building her art course business with intention.

  • Creative Business Without Hustle: Art, Community, and Being Enough with Jayne Emerson (#144)
    Feb 20 2026

After a long pause, I’m returning with conversations about what creativity is actually for. Not just how to grow faster or sell more, but why making matters in the first place.

In this episode, I sit down with UK textile artist and founder of No Rules Textile Society, Jayne Emerson. We talk about building a creative business without hustle, choosing depth over scale and creating something sustainable instead of chasing constant expansion.

Jayne shares how she moved from quietly selling textile samples to major fashion houses to openly teaching her methods and building a membership rooted in permission and play. We talk about “following the fizz,” turning perceived flaws into strengths, and why your art practice has to become non-negotiable if you want your business to feel aligned.

If you’re an artist or creative educator who wants a business that supports your life instead of consuming it, this episode will resonate.

In this episode, I’m sharing what it really looks like to build a creative business that supports your whole life and not just your bottom line. After a reset in the mountains and a break from the constant pressure to perform, I’m sharing some honest reflections on what’s shifting in my business, why I’ve restructured Build It Remarkable as a full-year experience, and what comes next.

I share the Toni Morrison quote that keeps me grounded, and a beautiful voice message from artist @ardithgoodwin that reminds us exactly why we do this work.

I also give you a fly-on-the-wall look at conversations from inside my programs this month, including a brilliant marketing breakthrough to a member who hit her beta launch goal and found her voice again. • What it Really Takes to be a Good Teacher as an Art Course Creator - a Heart-to-Heart with Susan Yeates (#142)
    Jul 23 2025

What does it really take to be a good art teacher? In this episode, I’m talking with Susan Yates about what it means to teach from lived experience rather than performative expertise. Susan and I have a heart to heart over the experience of being an instructor and being the student again. This is an amazing discussion we haven't really had on the podcast before.

We talk about the pressures to have it all figured out, why artists often feel like frauds when they step into the role of teacher, what makes a great video lesson and how important it is to reconnect with your own creativity to keep your cup full. We both agree that teaching in-person makes you better overall as an art instructor and talk about specific lessons we've learned from our students over the years. This conversation is honest, gentle, and full of the reminders we all need: your art matters, your practice is valid, and the best teaching starts with being true to yourself.

If you’re a course creator, art educator, or thinking about stepping into teaching someday, this one will speak right to your heart.

  • {WIP} How I’m Balancing Creativity and Business and Questions About Pricing that Every Course Creator Needs to Ask (#141)
    Jul 18 2025

In this “Work in Progress” episode, I share my behind-the-scenes updates about life and business, including a powerful experience I had while taking an in-person workshop with other creative women. I opens up about balancing my roles as an artist and creative business coach, the lessons I'm bringing back to my community, and why I now believe that nurturing your own creativity matters as much as building your business.

I also dive into a practical, eye-opening discussion on pricing by unpacking the key questions to ask before you price an offer, including its purpose, audience, and sales strategy. You’ll hear real insights from conversations inside my coaching programs about AI, creative inspiration, business models, and how to make aligned decisions as you grow. This is a grounded, encouraging episode for anyone building an art course business and a reminder that you can design success on your own terms.
