Acerca de esta escucha
The Decay has come and no one is safe....
Detective Levin must find the cause of an outbreak of mass murders in his hometown. Norcastle was the first town to fall. Not long after entire cities fell one by one to The Decay. It seems that everyone who enters Norcastle...goes insane. No one has come out alive....
Some believe The Decay is a virus spread by the government. Others say it was brought by a cult known as the Ravelim. The only thing for certain is no one is safe. The Decay is boundless...and unstoppable.
Can Detective Levin solve the mystery before he falls victim to The Decay? Or will he go insane like all the others who have tried?

Like a futuristic, sci fi action movie
This book is a future where the governments and countries are no longer those we know and gods, demons and their minions ravage entire towns. We get to ride along as Lt. Levin and Starr fight for mankind in a crazy adventure.
The narration is excellent and his voice is easy to listen to and had plenty of inflection to keep you interested.
My only criticism is that the time line is a bit difficult to follow because the author rarely offers any sense of time passage. Think left me unsure about if the book takes place over weeks, months or years. The characters could use a but more development as well because they feel a bit skin deep but are likeable enough. If you can overlook the vague timeline, slightly shallow characters and heavy use of "said"/"says" then this will be a very enjoyable read/listen. I know I enjoyed it.

sci fi fantasy
This is not my typical genre. I was confused in some parts as things Warren explained that well. The book was good but ended abruptly.

Interesting new fantasy
Quite an interesting book! Quite dark which gets you right in the mood for Halloween. It’s pretty short so you don’t lose anything by investing your time in to it.
The book starts out really well and basically sprints out of the gate and keeps the pace and quality til the third act where it’s seems extra faster pace but instead of being a positive feels forced

confusing and fast
I'm sending it back before I finish it and this is why. It's confusing. An example is he leaves a bar stating it's just a 30 min. walk to the police station then the next sentence is I walked out of the courthouse and the police station is right there. What?
The reader is fast. I thought it was my speed. Nope, he just reads fast. The sentences have no pause. Just on and on and on.
Twist and turns have no reason. I tried to get thru this mainly since I've been looking for a good listen. I just can't anymore. It's really bad.
