Great book but....

I really enjoyed this book but the psychological parts got a little hard to follow & too detailed, especially as she went back & forth in time. Could have trimmed at least an hour+ without the redundancy...but would still recommend this book.

Suspenseful

Great book There is suspenseful but it down is even more exciting since I meet the author at a luncheon

Too long and too deep into skin

It is a very interesting story and I
enjoyed listening. However, it really
needs an editor. It could become a
tight suspense story except for the
incessantly repeated dreams.
Cut by three hours.

Great thriller!

I love Lisa Ungers books! She never disappoints. This was a good story and kept you guessing till the end. It was just a little too long. I read and back and forth which made it to faster.

disappointed

Struggled to finish this one. The story was good, but dragged on and on and on.

Strange Book

This book was unusual for Lisa Unger, all written in the first person but travelling backwards and forwards in time which was a little confusing at times. The narrator, Vivienne Leheny, did an excellent job and I couldn't imagine any other narrator doing such a splendid job as she did. She brought the book to life and it needed to be told in her voice. Without this great narration the story could have been quite ordinary and somewhat disjointed. Unlike other listeners I thought the ending was quite good.

Worth time to listen...

Love the book once I got pass the first few chapters (these are needed to build the background, but I didn’t know that until I got further in the book)!

The narrator was too over-the-top for me. Some decent red herrings to lead me astray...

Excruciating

I listened to the whole book and it was painful. The story is so inconsistent , going between reality and dream that at some point I didn’t know what’s going on. All those ghosts, and visions are very strange. The heroine’s self destructing behavior and messed up thoughts saturated the whole story to the point of not making sense, especially in a context of time that passed between a murder and time of the action. Not believable and filled with repetitive parts that are not even explained ( red dress, meeting a private investigator that does not continue into something meaningful ) . I don’t get it.
