Worth The Credit!!

Any additional comments?

Wow. I really enjoyed this book. Very creative, interesting and entertaining. Great storyline. The story pulled me in from the beginning and never let go. Romance, mystery, suspense, conspiracy, intrigue, aliens and more all woven into a really good story. Well worth your time and credit.

There are some steamy scenes. So if you don't like sex in your books you need to skip this one.

So glad that the second book in the series is available on Audible.

Lisa Beacom did a fantastic job with narration. Character voices were great. Pleasant voice. Clearly spoken. Smooth even pace. She does a great job of bringing the characters and the story to life. There is a slight static throughout the recording at different times. It's not that bad but when you have your earbuds in you can really hear it and it does get a bit annoying.

The Beginning Of A Promising Series.

Asia Burdette, has lost three hours of time. Haunted by the missing memories, she eventually sees a psychiatrist with whom she develops an instant connection. The course of her sessions, reveal unbelievable things like mind control, alien abduction and interstellar slavery. Not long after, she and her psychiatrist find themselves fleeing from black ops kidnappers.

While book one establishes the character and sets up the storyline, it really doesn’t go much further than that. Although I didn’t feel like the author was padding her story and wasting my time, I did wish for a little more. Then, just as we the reader/listener are given a little more and the story starts to shift to a faster gear it’s over. Book one ends but the story isn't completely wrapped up. Obviously, this is a perfect scheme from a marketing standpoint and alas, the way of the book business in general.

Going in, I wasn’t familiar with Lisa Beacom, who narrates this novel, but she has a very pleasant voice and does a wonderful job with the material. I hope she will be used for the rest of the series. “Unchained Memory” is overall, an excellent beginning to a new series and well worth your time. Interesting book

This book started out a little slow and slightly confusing. Around the midpoint the action picked up as all the pieces started falling into place. There were also a couple of steamy sex scenes thrown in to spice up the story. Be prepared for a new take on alien abductions. The narration was excellent, if a bit heavy on the southern accents.

Dang, this was good!

This was a different kind of book and I loved every word of it! Is there life off of the planet Earth? I expect so...but this is a great take on it and loved how it works through the unknown.
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and, let me tell you...I have loved EVERY book that I have listened to narrated by Lisa Beacom! Her talent is beyond reproach. Her ability to narrate the story and keep the characters alive is unmatched. I FEEL what they feel are by how she gives them so much emotion.
I highly recommend this book

Mysterious, Well written, Great Narration,

What made the experience of listening to Unchained Memory the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the whole listen. I enjoyed how he never doubted her. That at the end they are taken into the fold to help others deal with the same problem. I don't usually like romance of any sort, this was a good romance with paranormal that you could wrap your head around. Good listen

What was one of the most memorable moments of Unchained Memory?

The most memorable was when she met her friend that in her dreams she believed had died.

Have you listened to any of Lisa Beacom’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't but I would listen to another one.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The best moment was when she realized it was her friend from her alternate reality was alive. Also it was the end when they took in the little boy.

Any additional comments?

This was an awesome love story with many twists and turns. I don't want to spoil for anyone but this is a great listen.

A Dark Action Book.

Any additional comments?

It was very slow and gave a dark feeling throughout. The narrator was very mono tone and there was a weird noise every time she would speak but otherwise did a great job. I just couldn’t get into it… It did have very engaging parts and the author did a great job. This just might not have been my cup of tea what happened to Asia in the beginning of the book just really hit me hard and I could not get over what happened to her babies so for the rest of the book I was sad and the book played into that despair.

Ok Story, Fantastic Narration!

Asia Burdette had planned to be home early the night part of her life went missing. She should have been home in 15 minutes; instead, somehow, she lost three hours of her life with no memory as to what happened. Now there are the vague disturbing recurring dreams and no memory to associate with them. Her children are dead--burned to death in a fire she could have prevented if she had been home on time--and her husband has divorced her. She's working in Nashville for a country music talent scout agency, and she's drinking way too much and sleeping way too little.

Ethan Roberts is a psychiatrist to whom Asia begins visiting as a client. He wants to plumb the depth of her memory to determine whether he can unlock those missing three hours. Despite every prohibition, the two feel an undeniable attraction to one another. On their first therapy day, Ian connects her to what he calls an alpha wave machine designed to relax her and enable her to talk about her dreams and perhaps even eventually to unlock the memories that were lost in that three hours the night her kids burned to death.

But there are people who don't want Asia to remember that three hours of missing life. Some of them are in the upper echelons of the government and military, and if they can't stop her from remembering, they will stop her directly.

Ethan had one other case that resembled Asia's some years earlier. He wonders whether the two women would be well served if they met one another. That would mean a night in a hotel, and Ethan conveniently resigns as her doctor before they take the little trip.

And predictably enough, that little trip to see an aging woman in West Virginia turned into a sex-saturated sheet romp.

Lisa Beacom deserves megabucks and 10-star and more recognition for the excellence of her narration. I've purchased books whose plots seemed dubious at best on the strength of her narration. Hers is a lovely highly listenable voice that pulls you into the labyrinth of the book and boosts the intensity when that's necessary all the while guiding you through it adding to its dimensions.

There are almost-erotic sexual descriptions here that had me reaching for the skip button, but not because of Beacom's narration.

The suspense runs high here as the book reaches its climax. And if you read it, don't skip the epilogue. (Are there really people out there who skip the epilogue?)
