Including all of the characters she met in between and the lessons she taught her daughter along the way, the book is a portrait of a life lived truly and unapologetically. In telling it, Helsing explores the forces that shape all of our lives, from geography and chance to sacrifice and deep, compassionate, enduring love.

Beautiful story!

This is a beautiful, well-written and heartwarming story honoring a beloved parent. I could relate to so many of the anecdotes. I’m sure Caroline’s mother is beaming with pride from above. Definitely worth listening to!
