Excellent book by a bold pastor not afraid to stand against the vices of this day and age… Great mixing of personal stories and biblical examples of boldness in the faith… highly recommended for pastors, parishioners, and people of all types!

A bold and timely book for every Christian and seeker

I have much to say about this book, but I’ll try to keep this brief. Travis Johnson has accurately depicted several issues that today’s Christian church struggles with. The church has become plagued by pastors who aren’t standing on biblical principles. Many care more about people’s feelings than their souls and focus on things they think will fill the pews instead of focusing on closely following Jesus and biblical principles, and calling their churchgoers to do the same. This book reveals that Travis Johnson is NOT one of those. In his very well written and timely book, he warns against falling for the traps of this world and distancing ourselves from Jesus. He very wisely reveals how quickly and unnoticeably distancing ourselves from Jesus can happen. His gift of taking personal events in his own life and using them to paint clear pictures of pitfalls to avoid and biblical paths to take is both captivating and inspiring. I was convicted and inspired by Travis’ call to be the bold Christians we were meant to be. I highly recommend this book to every Christian from the newest believer to the most seasoned church leader.
