UNCONDITIONAL LOVE: POSSIBLE OR NOT?

There's a lot of talk about "unconditional love" and how it's the ONLY way to truly love anyone. What do you think? Isn't it true that many of us place "conditions" on the people we love? Isn't it human nature to "judge" others according to our own concepts of acceptable behavior and the values we hold dear? Whereas some faith traditions value unconditional love as the goal of loving relationships, others may have discovered through trial and error that "unconditional love" is an ideal difficult if not impossible to achieve.
