In a land fraught with wars and dangerous mythical beasts, peacetime can be a burden a knight wouldn’t wish upon his worst enemy.

So with the Welsh and the Mercians holding a truce, Sir Dylan of Ystrad turns his considerable skills to the age-old tradition of dragon-slaying!

After recruiting fellow slayer Flynn and alchemist Evan, the trio set out to the Dark Continent, where travelers have reported an over-abundance of larger, more ferocious dragons.

But while awaiting to set sail, a blacksmith regales them with a story he’d heard from an ancient mariner. The sailor had been shipwrecked on a mist-filled island from which he claimed to have seen monsters as giant as dragons but with no wings, creatures that feasted upon their own.

Although intrigued, the two knights dismiss the tale―that is, until they are shipwrecked on a mist-filled island, no less.

And with the first thunderous, earth-shaking step―followed by a blood-curdling, heart-stopping roar―the knights realize this is no ordinary island.
