Great Backstory!

I had listened to a number of the books describing the soldiers and penpals. Houghton was always ready and willing to help all those who really needed him. Jill was an angel, cooking and cleaning advising. She was his constant. His dedication and love for her was displayed in so many ways. I always chuckled when I heard him telling the other soldiers that she was his and they needed not to make a mess step or he would take care of them. In the books, I don’t remember them mentioning Jill’s and Houghton’s son. It must be an oversight on my part. Regardless, I was very grateful that you offered us an insight into their background because they were such a critical part of the series. It would be wonderful if more people were as giving and caring as this couple. Unfortunately, this book disappears from audible on September 3, 2025 so it is a must read before then!

Vet gets a happy ending

The narration was not great, but I enjoyed the story. I kind of felt like I showed up in the middle of the story, so I felt a little confused.
