Publisher's summary

When a copy-cat killer arrives in the small New England town of Edgeport, criminal psychologist Audrey Harte must use all her skill to solve the case.

Audrey has been hired by the prosecution to help prepare for the trial of 19-year-old serial killer Ian "Boy Scout" Monroe. His one surviving victim, Tori Scott, is the star witness, but when someone begins killing with Monroe's MO, the authorities - and Audrey - begin to wonder if Monroe had a partner. Keeping Tori safe is the main concern, but Audrey has also attracted the copy-cat's attention.

Audrey is drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse, and when someone close to her is abducted by the killer, she has no choice but to play...

Liked the first book in series better

This second book in the series grabs you from the first chapter and I really enjoyed it. I Ike that all the characters are flawed in some way.

Cons
Jake is great but what type of person is he to collect info on all the townspeople, put it on an encrypted drive, keep a copy in the safety deposit box at the bank and a copy in his wall safe??? he does favors for the town, sounds like a mob boss. he was able to get info on the ADA? His character is becoming too Alpha and I'm afraid he won't be believable. 4 dead girls but the task team consist of 1 lawyer, a psychologist, an FBI agent and a civilian?

Also I like how tough and strong Aubrey and Jake are the fight Aubrey had with the brother awesome! but I don't like that Aubrey plays vigilante with Jake to catch these criminals. Like the cops or FBI are just stupid. Hopefully in future books it won't be this way.
