Enjoyed the altered storyline

Any additional comments?

I've read a few reviews of people not liking the book, but I'm never one to go by reviews on books because I seem to find something I like in everything read. I'm a long time fan of the Twilight series so I was pretty excited when I found out about this anniversary treat.

The story plays along the same lines as the original Twilight with quite a few gender roles flip flopped. Some do remain the same though. Many of the same scenes were repeated with the flipped roles. Some dialogue was different. Towards the very end of the book things take a turn and the it ends differently than the original Twilight. I enjoyed the twist but it made me a little sad too for the lack of closure. I'd actually enjoy more if the story went further.

I liked the narrator, Michael Crouch. I hadn't heard him before and I enjoyed his performance. I would listen to more of his work.

If you like Twilight, I think you may enjoy this. To me, it was worth the credit.

The reader was great

The book was Twilight with the names and genders changed till the end of the book. I imagine it was one of the easiest books to write. After listening to Life and death I had no interest I'm hearing Twilight again because of repetitiveness.

Interesting Concept

Any additional comments?

Although it was the same story, it was interesting to see the gender roles switched for the main characters. It gave the story a new life. Still very enjoyable. Recommended listen!

This book was fantastic! The narrator made me feel like I was right next to Bella! I will read the rest of the series too?

much better than the original twilight

surprisingly I really loved Life and Death. I think it was even better than the original Twilight. Beau was a much more likable character than Bella. I honestly never liked how the original series ended anyway. I thought the whole Bella pregnancy was ridiculous. I think Life and Death was a much more satisfying story and ending. it's definitely worth a listen.

A Truckers Review

When I first started driving I knew audiobooks would be a way of life. In a truck stop I saw Twilight unabridged and on CD, I had my wife with Mr at the time and bought it. Personally I didn't think I would like it. I actually loved it! So when New Moon came out on CD I bought it ASAP, and So on all the way up to Breaking Dawn.
I saw this on Audible, and bought it immediately! In Life And Death I found myself absolutely absorbed! It was basically the same story, or so some say. For me it was completely different. I could See myself in the in that world. I found myself listening to it from Start ti Finish in one go. Afterwards, I replayed it. Twice. It was FANTASTIC!!

MANY THANKS to Stephanie Meyer! I would love to hear anything from the Twilight world again.

Interesting

I much liked the original, than the gender swap one. It was just weird. It was written well, of course, but it was odd to think of Bella as Bo. And the dynamic between the couples was use not the same. Much prefer the regular. It was great that both come in the set.

decent

loved the narrator. was interested in this twist but it can be silly, particularly the end. I suppose it's appropriate but it almost seemed abrupt.

So much better than the original

the original version with Bella and Edward didn't have enough detail the way Stephanie added to the story helps in bringing the charters to life so much better and the narrator is so much better than the original version the original narrator didn't have any range of voices the only way I could tell who was supposed to be talking was if the charter was alone or if it stated who was talking I truly believe that the original books(all of them) should be redone with a new narrator
