It’s OK, sweet story but narration leaves a lot to be desired

Hi I enjoyed the story, it was a simple Amish tale which is what I wanted after reading an apocalyptic book!! However in the first book the narrator seem to just be reading not becoming the characters. In the second book I think she did much better, and her voice overall is pleasing but she would get the main character names mixed up —Alma and Thelma —sometimes!!!! Also “thank you” is not pronounced donkey in German.

Books backwards

I enjoyed both stories however the first one should have been last. If you get this just chapter down and listen to the Losided cake first then go back to first chapter foe 2nd book,
