Fascinating fiction but with a lot of fact built in
This has been my absolute favorite book written by Mr. White. The story is great and is based off true actual events with a lot of great science, current events (at the time) and political references.

a good story in the series
Randy Wayne white covers an eclectic mix of things from the manatee controversy of limiting access to waterways and fishing rights along the coast to protecting manatees to a reenactment of an actual loss of four divers disappear on the gulf coast...I had a keen interest in his observations about the abilities of octopus he also discussed and brought the light through his story. to the complex relationships in Central America with the United States, the story was okay and interesting plot the performance in the yard of version was alright.

good book
As always great writing and storytelling. John McDonald would be proud that his series lives on. a battle between dock and travis would be epic .ecologically I appreciate you exposing groups that yet well intentioned can skew and mislead science for personal cause Florida has an amazing ecosystem that cannot be explained or understood in a pamphlet.
