Publisher's summary

In the heart of Trenton, N. J., a killer is out to make sure someone gets his just desserts.

Larry Virgil skipped out on his latest court date after he was arrested for hijacking an eighteen-wheeler full of premium bourbon. Fortunately for bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, Larry is just stupid enough to attempt almost the exact same crime again. Only this time he flees the scene, leaving behind a freezer truck loaded with Bogart ice cream and a dead body—frozen solid and covered in chocolate and chopped pecans.

As fate would have it, Stephanie's mentor and occasional employer, Ranger, needs her to go undercover at the Bogart factory to find out who's putting their employees on ice and sabotaging the business. It's going to be hard for Stephanie to keep her hands off all that ice cream, and even harder for her to keep her hands off Ranger. It's also going to be hard to explain to Trenton's hottest cop, Joe Morelli, why she is spending late nights with Ranger, late nights with Lula and Randy Briggs—who are naked and afraid—and late nights keeping tabs on Grandma Mazur and her new fella. Stephanie Plum has a lot on her plate, but for a girl who claims to have "virtually no marketable skills," these are the kinds of sweet assignments she does best.

Story line beyond repair

Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie. What the heck are you doing? This love triangle is beyond resolution now. Time to move in with both guys. This story is weak. It's short because I think even Enanovich couldn't leg it out. It only gets three starts because of Lorelei King. This is a story about ice cream. You know who the bad guy is within the first hour and what they are doing. There is a bunch of stuff around Lula which is dead boring.

Lula fail. Love triangle - fail. Grandma fail. Ranger, Evanovich even has to justify why Ranger keeps calling her in on cases -- very thin. So thin it may be not even there. Moreli, he just sits back and lets at keeps things status quo. We are way out there now, and not in a good way.

Change this up, find something new. I know you are making a fortune with this books, they rate a little more than mailing them in. Unsatisfied!!!

Same

I love this series, but unless something new and DIFFERENT happens, it needs to end.

Disappointed

I love Stephanie plum but this one was a little disappointing. The story to me seemed to lack something. This book seemed to be rushed and thrown together. Lorelei King did her awesome job as usual.

Same story different book

Would you try another book from Janet Evanovich and/or Lorelei King?

Love Janet Evanovich and Lorelei King is a great narrator.

Do you think Turbo Twenty-Three needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I love the Stephanie Plum series, but it needs to come to an end. The story lines are very predictable and the Stephanie, Joe, Ranger love triangle is getting old. Every book is the same, Stephanie and Lula will stumble into a situation that will end with Stephanie being kidnapped and almost killed before being rescued in the nick of time by Joe, Ranger, or both. Along the way Stephanie's car will be destroyed and she will try to make up her mind about which guy she wants to be with. In the end she will not choose and we are off to the next book for more of the same......

Nothing new

There was a small amount of character development with Plum. Pretty much same old stuff.

Hohum

Nothing new here. Beginning to feel like the series needs to wrap up. Will miss it, but I am sure Ms. Evanovich can come up with another lovable heroine.

Same thing every book

Ranger or Morelli? Should she quit or work for the bail bonds office? I used to love these books but come on! 23 books with the same plot line and same old tired love triangle? Just grow up already Stephanie Plum.

disappointed

janet is trying to keep the tension between morelli and ranger going without any plot, drama or reason for stephanie to be torn between them. no growth for the characters just a fill in book.
