Publisher's Summary

Tuesdays at Castle Glower are Princess Celie's favorite days. That's because on Tuesdays the castle adds a new room, a turret, or sometimes even an entire wing. No one ever knows what the castle will do next, and no one - other than Celie, that is - takes the time to map out the new additions. But when King and Queen Glower are ambushed and their fate is unknown, it's up to Celie, with her secret knowledge of the castle's never-ending twists and turns, to protect their home and save their kingdom. This delightful book from a fan - and bookseller - favorite kicks off a brand-new series sure to become a modern classic.

Excellent

As a mom, I appreciated that this story wasn't one of those "my parents are idiots and cause all my problems" kind of tales. That seems to be relatively uncommon these days, so a positive parental involvement is a plus when I'm looking for books for my daughter. The plot line was fun and kept moving, and I found reasons to love each of the main characters in turn. The castle functions as a bit of a god character, which is an interesting twist and a fun talking point. Overall well written, though the performance wasn't one of my favorites. Worth the buy, though, especially if you are looking for clean writing for your kids or yourself.

FIVE STARS

This book is about a castle that grows rooms. And it’s a wonderful sorry line. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in things like Harry Potter or other imaginative stories. The performance was amazing the reader spoke clearly and even used different voices for each character. I read this book for a school assignment that I REALLY didn’t want to do, I still had to do it but this book made it a lot more enjoyable. once again this as a fantastic book and every one should read it.

The Castle was Cool

I liked the characters and I liked the Castle. The castle changing rooms on it's own and deciding who was to become the King was a hook for me. The story itself seemed a bit blasé and filled with too much court politics. I was expecting more imagination by the author.

Love the story, hate the narrator

I really enjoyed the story - I feel it gives a fresh, clean aspect to YA fantasy. It's a novel concept, not overused, but new and interesting and quickly sucks you into the world of Castle Glower. 5 stars for the story!

On the other hand, I do not like the narrator. Her reading pace is far too slow for my taste, with exceptionally long pauses, but just fast enough that if you try to speed it up to 1.25 speed, it's so fast you can't catch everything she's saying. She has great expression though, which is why I'm giving her 3 stars.

What a castle!

I would love to live in a castle like this. One that likes me as much as Celia. The creative storyline and detailed imagery kept me entertained. I love the performance too.

Original story!

I mean the castle is a main character. :)

The narrator did a nice job of differentiating the different voices. The action and pacing of the book kept me engaged. I liked how the youngest princess was the heroine of the story. Reminded me a bit of Lucy from the Chronicles of Narnia.

The book was great

The voices for all the characters were awesome. This book I think I think is good for children 8 and up. It’s also good for adults.
