This book was great I'm about to start the second book right now.

Great Story

This is my first audio book and I must say I have chosen a great book. It had me on the edge of my seat several times throughout the story. I could not turn it off at times. I will be looking for more books by this author 4 sure.

love it. got my supervisor listening to these books. the narrator was really good and he put the extra in his words where it needed to be.

Good story bad narrator

The story was good but man he is a horrible narrator. It’s like the teacher calling on the student everyone knows can’t read good to act out a good book. He stumbled on words. Couldn’t convey the emotions of the scene correctly. I’m honestly debating on if I should even read part 2 but I’m so curious... I may have to buy the physical copy cause I don’t know if I can sit through another 2 books of this guy 😩

I could not put this book down so I purchased the audible and I have listened driving to and from work, when I'm home cooking and cleaning!

Interesting enough

This narrator is really good. How does Kiam not know who Blood Money is? How is he so weak for lust? He is too trusting of the old head. Him and his daughter seem like snakes that are just using Kiam to do their dirty work. Phaedra is right, he’s being loyal to the people that will ultimately betray him. I’ll give book two a shot… I seriously hope I’m proven wrong.

I listened to this audiobook twice. The first time I didn't really like it, but when I was about to write a review I noticed all of the raving reviews so I decided that I need to give this book another chance. This time I got hooked onto the story and started falling in love with each of the characters and their storylines. Especially, Kiam's love for Faydrah and how he come out of jail killing the game. He seems like the perfect bad boy. I am now on book 3 wishing there was a 4th.
