Publisher's summary

From this "fantastic storyteller" comes a heart-wrenching love story about soul mates, second chances, and finding your way home (Melanie Harlow, USA Today best-selling author).

It's been eight years since the moment that changed Olivia Dalton's life. Gabriel North was her first love - her only love. But an accident shattered their world, leaving Gabe with a serious injury and Liv with a broken heart.

In the years that followed, Liv left their small coastal town in Georgia and began her career in North Carolina. But she often feels like a stranger watching the woman she's become drift farther and farther from the girl she used to be.

Now, confronted with a decision and a future that seems more uncertain than ever, Liv can no longer ignore the hole in her heart that's been quietly aching for years. The only way to move forward is by going back - back home to face the love she left behind.

overall good listen

I was disappointed when Teddy was not and equal narrator for this title. It wasn't a bad story, but could of been better with more of the male voice.

I know a book is great when I wonder about the characters later on. This story really pulled me in.

Sweet, realistic love story

Title says it all, love the narrator's performance. Teddy wasn't featured as much as I would have wished.

Wonderfully Beautiful 😍

Such a fantastic story! Loved every bit of it. True Love to True North. Overcoming tragedy through trials & tribulations to be with your one true love ❤️ 😍. I know this is fiction, but this would be a true testament to second chance romance & FOREVER LOVE! The writing was amazing. Narration was great, although Teddy Hamilton did not narrate every other chapter, the female narrator performed fantastically. 💝 Just the right amount of spice!

Story of Human Emotion

I loved listening to True North. I struggled when my life interrupted my listening time. I wish I had saved it for day long drives.

Tender heartwarming story

True North was well written.
It's a heartwarming tale about love, adversity and fate. It has a few sappy spots, not many.
Enjoy a good read!

Cute but...

It was cute, but predictable and a bit generic. I thought the main character was a bit immature and selfish towards, particularly towards her previous love interest who (ironically) wanted the exact same thing from her that she spent the first half of the book asking for from the guy she ran back to. She dumps this guy in the first chapter without giving him a real explanation, going on to treat him like a stalker who couldn't take the hint throughout the rest of the book. Then you hear later how they'd been together 2 years and treated her really well. I might have acted a bit crazy too in his shoes. I kept waiting for her to have an "a-ha moment" realizing age did the same thing to him that Gabe did to her but it just got worse. I also struggled with some of the medical inaccuracies, but to be fair, was still better than many fictional stories probably are in that department. The only thing that kept me invested in finishing it was Meg Sylvan's narration. She is really excellent. I can't say the same for the other narrator, but perhaps his voice just felt wrong for the character to me. He wasn't a terrible narrator, it just constantly felt jarring that he was supposed to be Gabe.

Formulaic

This book was rather corny and formulaic. A throwback Hallmark movie type story. The female protagonist showed some strength in the beginning but then was just overly submissive and the hyper romantic-ness was off putting.
