Story
It is as scary as it is exciting: this is how most people would describe a paranormal experience. While others encounter it even when they don't want to, others search for the thrill, going so far as visiting places out of the country just so they can feel the suspense. Haunted forests, abandoned ghost towns, creepy creatures, cursed roads, and other paranormal events - all these things happen for a reason. Murder victims manifest themselves perhaps because their justice is still not achieved, or perhaps, they simply were not ready to go.

A self-proclaimed skeptic, the food writer dismissed rumors of a mischievous resident poltergeist named Lucy when he moved in, but he quickly found himself at a loss to explain the disembodied footsteps and mysterious odors that seemed to plague the old house. Soon, he was talking to neighbors and fellow homeowners, and it seemed that everyone had stories of strange events and supernatural occurrences in their own dwellings. Story
Scientists studying parapsychology try to establish many possible theories to justify a paranormal claim. Sometimes they successfully rationalize the mystical incidences with explainable scientific data and facts. But when they fail, it becomes an unsolvable mystery and controversial phenomena for future generations. We know that some places on earth are cursed and are not safe for human habitation. But, can we always scientifically explain or rationalize why some places or objects are so unlucky or why we sometimes see or feel things that no one else does? In this audiobook we will tell you of some real ghost stories, stories of mysterious objects and a number of very tragic incidents that have been hard for science to logically define. This book contains a number of ghostly incidents that no scientist, or criminal investigator could ever rationally justify. Listen to these disturbing stories from the past yourself and see if you can connect the theories or justify each and every phenomenon to establish them as rationalized events.

Story
Imagine getting out of the bath and finding blood in four of your six rooms. That’s not the plot of a B-movie. That’s real life. There’s a reason you’re drawn to horror films, and they’re not as far-fetched as you thought. FBI data shows that four out of 10 homicides and six out of 10 rapes go unsolved, and this isn’t just down to shoddy police work or a failing system. Sometimes, there just is no rational explanation. Strange things happen every day, and many of them are never reported. But then, many of them don’t end in horror.

New Orleans - the Big Easy, the birthplace of jazz, home of Cafe du Monde, and what some call the most haunted city in America. Beneath the indulgence and revelry of the Crescent City lies a long history of the dark and mysterious. From the famous "Queen of Voodoo," Marie Laveau, who is said to haunt the site of her grave, to the wicked LaLauries, whose true natures were hidden behind elegance and the trappings of high society, New Orleans is filled with spirits of all kinds. Some of the ghosts in these stories have sordid and scandalous histories, while others are friendly specters.

Story
Ghosts have been the entertaining subject of many works of fiction, but they're even more intriguing (and perhaps even scarier) when they are the focus of real-life hauntings in our own backyard. An employee of the St. James Hotel in New Mexico watches in shock as a fair-haired toddler with a terribly disfigured face disappears into the floor. This is just one of the paranormal mysteries Leslie Rule shares with us - a result of extensive interviews and research uncovering the reasons behind ghost sightings across the country.

Poorly written & read
If you're looking for a well written and well researched book of allegedly true paranormal stories you will need to look elsewhere. Additionally, the narrator's voice is too gravelly to enjoy and he has a tendency to mispronounce names and words. I can now understand why the audiobook was so cheap to buy.
