Publisher's summary

College life for Layla Weston isn't starting the way she intended. She's revisiting the plans she once had to be the reclusive girl she wanted to be at Heyward Prep and is more than confident in her ability to succeed this time. After all, she's got a whole new bag of secrets to keep.

Still reeling from Will's disappearance, Layla is doing her best to adjust to life back in Florida. She continues to hold out hope, confident she was meant to find Will's ring for a reason.

Just as Layla is starting to accept that she must keep moving forward, secrets from the past threaten her and her family. As Luke and Claire join Layla to protect their family, Layla discovers that her uncle may not be the man she thought he was--and that there's more to Will's disappearance than she ever could have imagined.

Ver repeatative

Almost as same as the first book. All three could have been put in 1 book. Guess they drug it out to sell more books.

To drawn out

This is the second in the lake series, it seemed to go round and round like the writer wasn't sure where she wanted it to go, and I like a little mushy but I was getting to the point if I heard them tell each other how much they loved them I was shutting it off. I wish I had counted because it must be a record. The reader made it sound even more gushing. I hope the last book picks back up.

Too much duplicity

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

While the story line was decent, there was a lot of repetitivness that caused me to want to skip ahead. This is the second book in a series of 3 and all of the story line in this book could have been carried out in the 1st book. In addition, the story line is based on a never ending love of 17 year olds!

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The ending was the most interesting. The least interesting was hearing about her parents death over and over.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Narrator was good.

Could you see Troubled Waters being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. too repetitious

On Edge

Great continuance to book 1. Loved the new character build up and when the truth comes out on so many different levels.
