Publisher's Summary

Can you recall all of the gory details of Stephen King's classic horror novel, The Shining? Perhaps it is better if you don't!

Collected here for the first time are trivia questions to help stimulate your mind and to bring back those memories of the work that inspired horror fiction fans to rush to their local bookstores and horror film fans to flock to the King-inspired, Kubrick-directed movie that would haunt generations to come.

Warning: This trivia guide is based upon the book itself, written by Stephen King, which has some variations and differences from the film. If you have only seen the Kubrick-directed film and have not read the novel, this guide may not be for you. It is strongly recommended that you read the original novel before engaging this trivia guide!

All work and now play makes for a great book

This is a fun book that is filled with lots of tidbits of information about the great Stanley Kubrick flick. If you love this movie, and who doesn't, then you will really like this book. It is perfect for a quick ride in a car or a short walk. There is a lot of stuff that I didn't know, and was glad to get some new information. I can say that this is most certainly worth the price, and your time. Clinger narrates this very well, and when you are done listening to him you will probably want to go rent this movie and watch it again with the new knowledge now fresh in your mind.. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

Absolutely Awful

This book was awful...from the robotic voice to the trivia questions regarding the outlook hotel! I was only able to listen for about 10 minutes before I stopped. Don't waste your time or money

Is this for real?

I don’t know where to start. This is so awful I’m not even sure if maybe this was meant as a joke. I’m also not convinced this was read by a real person. Hoping to learn some cool trivia about “The Shining” instead it’s a QUIZ!! I guess if you want to take a test read dispassionately by a computer voice then have at it!
