I'm not a nutmegger, but I still enjoyed this book immensely. Let me say that Rossman does a fine job telling these stories, his voice has just the right timbre of put a little darkness into the stories when it needs to be there.

This is a large collection of short stories, some being revisited classics, and others being more modern and new. There is not a bad one in the bunch, but some will sink into your soul more than others. Basements and mirrors are a bad combo, and even trivial things like decorations can be bad. If you are an adult you will be glad to don't trick or treat any more. One story did make me giggle, and the poem at the end is just plain haunting, and it sticks with you. Having never heard it before I have to believe that my experience with it is what people felt when they first heard Poe's Raven.

This is a great book to listen to when you are alone and can turn out the lights, and is far better than 99% of horror movies being made today. It is worth your time and money, and with thte wa your heart will beat you might get some sitting exercise out of it, too.
