Publisher's Summary

I hadn't set foot in the human world for more than a few hours in over three and a half months. Sure, I was stronger and faster than I'd ever been before, and I had a shiny new sword, but I was seriously chocolate deprived. I don't recommend quitting cold turkey. And the new sword was a problem - to my mind, anyway. It represented all the expectations of a powerful father and a new otherworldly life. A life that wasn't the one I'd worked so hard to build. It also represented the responsibility I had to bring my foster sister Sienna to...what? Justice? I didn't know if that was even possible. What I did know was that Sienna wouldn't stop, and that I couldn't just leave everything up to fate and destiny...or maybe I was. Maybe I was doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing. If you believed in that sort of thing.

I just hoped that before the chaos and mayhem renewed, I'd manage to get my hands on some chocolate. It didn't even have to be single-origin Madagascar. I was utterly prepared to lower my standards.

Loved it

Meghan has such a talent, her books truly transport you. So many times she’s caught me not wanting to turn the page for fear of what will happen to the character I love but also needing to turn it to find out.

You will be crazing dessert, be prepared!

Warning: once you start this series you will be committed to exploring the whole MCD universe. It’s just that addictive.

3mths without chocolate would make anyone cranky

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Jade had spent 3mths in the Dragon dimension training, but there was little explored about finally meeting & spending time with her father. After not knowing ANYTHING about him but the way he looked, she finally met him but there were very few short scenes between them & none really had any sort of connection between them. Let alone with Jade's mother Scarlet also coming face to face with him for the first time since Jade was conceived. Im hoping this changes in book 4.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Wish more effort was put into the different accents, but Caitlin Davies at least tries.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Death seems to follow Jade everywhere she goes or follows Sienna too. This instalment was no exception.

Any additional comments?

Jade leaves the Dragon dimension after 3 mths to track down her black witch sister Sienna. She is helped with the her usual band of adepts & shifters in tow + the unwanted help of fellow dragon teenage trainee Drake, who was a funny addition. Jade is on a mission to find Maury, kidnapped by Sienna in the last book & stop the Sienna before anyone else dies. Jade finally does come face to face with her evil sister, which changes several of her relationships with her 'friends' & discovers more about her powers. Was half way through this book when had order book 4. Am really enjoying this sweet series & seeing where the character of Jade & her magical self is going.
