A really fun classic

Treasure island is actually a really fun read despite its “classic” status (a very nice way of saying very old and therefore too outdated to be a joy to read, instead being closer to an obligation). Sure, there are some moments of “benign” racism (indigenous people are referred to as “savages” and the like, which is always fun for an NDN like me), but the story is sweet and smart.

A classic read by the perfect performer

The story of Treasure Island is fun and adventurous. The reading by Kevin McNally is perfect. If you loved him in Pirates of the Caribbean, you’ll delight as McNally brings the same excitement to this timeless pirate story.
