Traumatic Scars

Lips are unique and have prime real estate on your face. It isn’t like other areas of your body. If you have an accident and get a scar on your lip, it will most likely be visible. This experience can be traumatizing for anyone because you can’t hide it. Join Dr. Rady Rahban and his patient Chavona as they take you through her year long journey dealing with her lip scar. Chavona had accidentally tripped and fallen, causing a severe tear on her lips with her teeth.

Although she was lucky to have had a plastic surgeon in the emergency room treat her, she still had a significant and visible scar three months later. Accidents can happen to anyone causing scars that can be emotionally debilitating. In this episode, Dr. Rady will talk about the options to deal with these traumatic scars and what to look out for.
