Suspenseful

This is the second book in the Vail Mountain Trilogy. I like this Series of short novellas! This story was suspenseful and fast-paced. The scenery was well described. I liked this story, and I loved Nina (and Emily, her daughter) and Rob's story. I also loved to see again Joan and Stephen from the first book. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Drawn to Vail Mountain, Jacob and Connie's story. The narration was easy to understand. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great Read

Trapped on Vail Mountain (Vail Mountain Trilogy, Book Two) was a great read by Desiree L. Scott. Nina and her young daughter witnessed her father’s brutal murder. She will do anything to protect her daughter. She leaves the city and head to Vail Mountain. She meets Rob on the mountain when they get trapped and Rob will do what he can to save her. I can’t wait to read more by the author.

Loving this romantic suspense series!

After witnessing the murder of her father, and then having her and her daughter's lives threatened, single mom-Nina Williams flees NY for Vail Mountain, CO to seek refuge with her friend Joan. Only the killers are after her and runs her off the road.
Resort owner and mountain ranger, Rob Garland, is asked to find Joan's friend, who has been run off the road. He finds Nina and her daughter just in time, since Nina was on the verge of hypothermia. Rob can't deny the insta-attraction to the beauty and, as he helps her recover, wonders if they can have more...but only if he can work with Nina's NY detective friend, Jake, to keep her safe. Will there be an HEA for Nina and Rob...or Nina and Jake? No spoilers as to whom she chooses, just know that Nina gets her man.

Fast paced short story!

Good storyline.
The issue for me was The narration!
The voices were so distracting, that it ruined the flow of the story for me.
This was really noticeable at the beginning of the book. It came across as

Story felt and sounded disjointed and rushed between the 2 main characters.
I had to laugh at how fast the police and swat got there! Really! I know it's fiction,
For me, the story was ok.
