Publisher's summary

Defense attorney Paul Madriani is embroiled in a case as perilous as any he has ever faced - one that involves an angry killer who will stop at nothing short of vengeance and two missing NASA scientists who are holding secrets that a hostile government desperately wants to purchase - in blood if they must.

Madriani's daughter, Sarah, has evaded the man known as Liquida, and is being kept under armed guard for her own safety. But one morning Sarah slips her ring of protection. What she doesn't know is that her assailant is at this very moment waiting patiently outside in the dark. At the same time, in California two men in a parked car argue over millions in cash that could be slipping through their fingers and a scheme involving government technology-for-sale that could rock the world.

Paul Madriani, his companion, Joselyn Cole, and his long-time law partner, Harry Hinds, track Liquida, not knowing that their quest will carry them deep into the vortex of international terror. It is a journey that will lead them toward a bizarre and cruel twist of nature - and the ultimate weapon of mass destruction. Madriani and his party race against time to find Liquida and the scientist who is the "trader of secrets" before he can unleash the weapon that can set the world ablaze.

Take another thrill ride with Paul Madriani.

Exciting to the end!

The villain was an old foe who threatened everyone close to Mandriani. Listen to find out who lives or dies.

Good, but not up to par

I was entertained, but "Trader" does not match up to previous books in story line, plot intracacy or imagination. Maybe the Madriani series is getting a little tired. Narration a little weak, sometimes it was hard to tell they had switched characters. Narrators in previous audiobooks were much better. SPOLIER ALERT --- For Madriani fans, who want some things wrapped up from Guardian of Lies and Rule of Nine, this will do it

Not a Legal Thriller

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The plot seemed disjointed and highly unrealistic - the concept of 2 lawyers and one's girl friend chasing an extremely deadly killer around the world.

Would you ever listen to anything by Steve Martini again?

Sure but hopefully, he will return to the legal/courtroom arena.

What about Dan Woren’s performance did you like?

Excellent

Not up to Martini Standard

A long time Steve Martini fan, I've read all of his books and unfortunately this one wasn't worth the time. The coincidences that are essential to the plot are beyond unbelievable. Double Secret agents, crossing paths with Lakita at the very moment they happen to show up at a location...it goes on. I stuck with this one to the end and was very disappointed.

Skip this and re-read one of his earlier novels or hope for better on the next one

Not A Legal Thriller

Any additional comments?

I should have read reviews before buying this. I just assumed that all of Steve Martini's books are legal thrillers and well written. This book was so slow moving and had nothing to do with courtrooms. I'm so disappointed because Steve Martini is among my favorite authors.
